Claims: Wind & Star Energy is a wind energy company based in Amargosa Valley, Nevada. They claim to have a vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) design that is superior to other companies' models.

Reasons for concern:

The company does not provide diagrams or scientific explanations for their technology.

Their press releases claim their turbines can "operate in low or no wind conditions".

They claim to have a pending patent on a "Hydrabine Fluid Drive Power Accelerator", which sounds "made up".

They are based in Nevada, a state known neither for wind nor scientific research.

Larry Cantwell, COO, claims to have invented the "Vertical Axis Wind Energy Generator", which gives the misleading impression that he invented the vertical axis wind turbine.

Their website is flashy and it is soliciting investors.
