Latest developments in the Directory:OC MPMM Magnet Motor open source project.

Several lessons have been learned from "Whipmag Phase I" (October 2007 thru April 2008). These are considered important for future replication and testing. The list continues to grow as replicators compare observations and provide feedback. Specifically, the parts list is being re-evaluated as are testing methods.
Lessons learned relate to the following: Stator Bearings, Metal Tables, Flex-mount Spindle, GW/AGW/GW Acceleration, Rotor Magnet Strength, etc.

Directory:Electromagnetic > OS:MPMM:Variant:Harvey - Video shows a modified MPMM motor that involves tying a stator magnet to a coil and circuit to coordinate its pumping action to keep the motor running at a constant speed. "The unique nature of this approach is that the rotor is propelled by the stator, not the solenoid."
OS:MPMM:Replications - doesn't accelerate but he's had lots of fun with it.
OS:MPMM:Replications:Douglas K. Furr - He has not been able to get it to accelerate or maintain speed. This could be attributed to several important differences between his replica and the original, including magnet strength, device material, holding screws.

OS:MPMM:Replications:LaFonte:Mark - Though they've made a diligent attempt at replicating the design faithfully, they've not been able to achieve any accelleration or speed maintenance.
