Simultaneously Desalinating Water, Making Hydrogen And Treating Wastewater - Researchers from the University of Colorado are researching methods for practically incorporating desalination into microbial fuel cells in a way that can treat wastewater and produce electricity simultaneously. The AK1000 by Atlantis Resources stands 22.5m (73ft) tall and weighs 1,300 tonnes and is capable of generating 1 megawatt. However, it turned out that the claimed technology was not in a condition to be tested during the visit and the Inventor Fred Wells was not present either, only his business partner.
