I got a screengrab of 66,666,664 and 66,666,669 but several others got closer than that.

Apparently the statistics page view doesn't count as a page view. I was kind of guessing that would be the case due to the fact that the counter didn't accellerate as we got closer to 66,666,666, with a few of us out there hitting refresh to try and get right on, but it continued at the typical rate of around 1 per second.

You wanna hear something funny? It was 7:03 pm, Mountain time when I crossed those numbers. Another way of representing 7:03 is 6:63, just three more minutes, and it would have been at 6:66 pm. -- Sterling

On March 19, 2010 7:41 PM Mountain Marco Turrioni of Lucca, Italy wrote:

I've been silently following your website for several years now. Almost every day I come to check the news to learn more about new technologies and developments in energy production. I just happened to be online when I saw your posting and the counter was already very close to 66,666,666 page views.

I tried to reload the page a few times to catch the magic number but someone else must have got it instead. However I did manage to get the page before and after it hit 66,666,666.

Whether I win a T-shirt or not, I want to express you my deepest gratitude for the immense effort you put in all the work you do. I am very sure that one day (in the near future) that technology that we are all dreaming about will finally emerge so that the world will trully become a better place for the benefit of all.

I did notice one other odd thing - if you count the number of names for the winner and runner-ups, it comes to 6.

All of this is a fun coincidence, considering Tesla's obsession with everything he did needing to be divisible by three.
