Last night, Peter Crunk contacted me by Skype to show me his latest breakthrough.

He has been able to create a burner that doesn't self-destruct while burning 100% HHO.

It uses 36 micro holes on three concentric, grooved circles, so the holes aim outward, and they are offset from one another. There are 12 holes in each circle.

He machined the burner himself, using his lathe and drill press.

He said that the engineers a Epoch said it couldn't be done, so he's especially pleased with his accomplishment.

I had him put a piece of metal over the flame, and it behaved like Brown's Gas torches do, beginning to cut into the metal. So as a practical (cooking?) application, whatever is placed over the flame will need to be far enough away to prevent this effect.

: It looks absolutely beautiful but it's not the first. They've had BG burners in the orient for over a decade. I have no idea why Epoch would say it can't be done. The oriental burners mixed air with the BG to 'cool' the flame. I don't have my research materials with me to give you exact articles but it shouldn't be hard to find.

: I remember thinking at the time that it was a little ridiculous because they could use the electricity they are using to make the BG to just heat an electric element... And maybe they're doing it that way now. $15 for a hot plate instead of $15,000 for a BG machine and all the stuff to support it being able to heat a pot of water.

: Instead of an open flame, another option is to use a catalytic material (catalyst heater) that glows when the BG is applied to it but still there's that pesky fact that (at least at this time) just using the electricity straight to an element is so much less expensive, simpler and likely just as efficient.

: I also run a torch to heat my shop for the 4rd winter. I have to cleanse cells and requires 30 to 50 amps at 12/14 volts. Instead of venting the hho gas outside, I run a hose to a single torch to heat some tubes. It works well.

: You have to cram the handle with stainless steel wool, otherwise they flash back when you shut it off. Very safe, Peter has an nice burner tip, he did a great job, Jakes are rudimentary compared to Peter's I wonder how big it is? 1" dia? 3"

: I wonder if his cell is efficient? Bob's sealed cells are the most efficient and the dual 6 tubes, or 6 concentric tube cells. No 12volt leakage, 2 volts between each plate or tubes. 2 volts = cool, no heat made, no waste of power only more gas!

: A 7 plate cell with the 12/14 v power source pushes the gas off the plates to ever square mm of plate surface area, rather than heading for the holes in the plates, that creates less efficiency.

: You do not need to pulse the current with torches/burners. Direct DC, for the metal tip will discharge higher quality ortho HHO. I would like to try a ceramic tip.

: I bet Peter is running about 500 to 750 watts to out out that size flame if it is a 2" dia shower head.
