: Hi All,

: Once we understand the value of reducing our need for electrical energy by building homes, even of scale, that reduce our requirements to basically kitchen appliances, we can take the next step.

: It is important to note in the pages I sent earlier, that some of these homes were constructed for about $4000.00 one room only but are designed to be expanded/added onto as more money and time become available. The Largest of the homes shown is currently for sale at 1.5 million. Called the Phoenix.

: Right now the homes use a small amount of power. Typically it is required to have over $30,000.00 in solar to run a typical home at a minimum. Half of that cost is in batteries alone. Batteries that have to be replaced every five to seven years. This has made it difficult to justify off grid use.

: The first step in my research has been to solve that problem. And the machines I have built based on John Bedini's work have proven over the last six years that batteries charged with this system could last as long as 40 years. 20 years certainly. This flops the economic scale way over to the side of solar energy. But the goal is to go much further!

: The Earthship lets us begin with a very small system by comparison. It makes it easy to take the next step. I hope everyone will look seriously at the earthsip site and study this out.

: The next step in my research was to design a system that I call the load detector circuit. Here is why. The very first rule of battery technology is to know that if you charge and discharge a battery at the same time you destroy it. When you have solar collectors, windmills etc. attached to the batteries charging, and then pull power for usage, you lessen the lifespan of the battery. Sometimes significantly.

: This circuit not only separates the battery while loaded but also (can you imagine this?) allows for the collection of solar energy and charges in the evening when things are off.

: The next level of research was to follow the Alum conversion of lead acid batteries. The Alum batteries allow a complete discharge of the battery repeatedly for many, many years. Actual life span is unknown but longer than I will need in my life.... This is not possible with a lead acid battery. This, then, becomes the collector of energy that charges your lead acids at night.

: Why do we still need lead acid? Because the power curve on the lead acid is at the higher voltage down to about 10.00 volts.

: But the Alum maintains a current down to about 2 volts or lower depending on the mix. The problem is that inverters are designed for lead acid power voltage ranges. Anyway, pretty amazing to have a battery made of pickling spice....

: Ok, putting this together we now have a system that lasts extraordinarily long. But I have found even better. I will discuss more of this later. But consider that the earthship has, and contains heat, and the greenhouse has humidity. Because of that windmills, solar panels, generators, all become an ancient technology to produce electricity. All this knowledge is free and public domain.

I just posted this in response to a comment at PESN.

: "We at PES have NEVER promoted the idea of energy from nothing. Not once. Not ever. Free energy is a matter of harvesting the wheelwork of nature, and there are a lot of ways to do that. Conventional: solar, wind, geothermal, tide, waste-to-energy, biomass, etc. We focus on the unconventional: LENR, electromagnetic overunity, magnet motors, etc. Just because we don't fully understand them yet, doesn't mean they don't work. You're not a true scientist if that is how your head works, thinking we have to understand it if it is real. Science is about exploration, not dogma in entrenched thinking. Free energy merely refers to the fact that you don't have to pay the wheelwork of nature to provide you with energy. You just need to plug in.
