Hosting service apologizes for PESWiki outages

'Free Energy Blog:2013:10:29'

I received this email in response to my complaint about 7 outages and 12+ hours of total down time in two months.

: Sterling, I give you a whole hearted apology for the downtime. We have been in the process of upgrading our storage which has caused this outage and the previous ones. Our guys failed to check if the apache was started when the server came back onlinr after the maintenance was performed on the storage box. They server pinged and assumed it was up. When I checked I could see that peswiki was still down and found that the webserver was not started and I started it. I have put the webserver in monitoring so this does not happen and will credit you this month’s hosting as a sincere apology.

: Clay

Jeroen van Straaten's Global BEM Reflections
Image:Conference-2013-full-page SQ 400.jpg

'Free Energy Blog:2013:10:29'

Relevance: Event:2013:Global Breakthrough Energy Movement Conference

Here's an excerpt (slightly edited) of an email Jeroen sent out to the speakers and hosts for the recent Global Breakthrough Energy Movement conference in Boulder.

: From: Jeroen van Straaten

: Sent: Friday, October 25, 2013 10:54 AM [Mountain]

: Subject: Boulder Conference

: Dear speakers and hosts,

: I want to thank you all on behalf of the whole Globalbem team.

: It has been two weeks ago since our event, and after being busy with the aftermath especially answering hundreds of emails and the financial obligations, I think it's time for a review and an update.

: Thank you for all your wonderful presentations, which I hope to see all soon.

: Thank you for the promotion you did for the conference.

: Thank you for not asking for a speaking fee.

: Thank you for not complaining about the early flights.

: And some of you, I want to thank for sharing travel costs.

: Thank you for being so approachable to the public, this was very appreciated

: Thank you for putting up with my grammar mistakes :)

: Thank you for being part of the Globalbem family and doing your part in bringing awareness about these game changing technologies.

: Was it all good...

: Although my end speech gave the impression we were okay financially the opposite is true. Darek and a private friend of Globalbem took the financial loss so far but we intend and need to pay them back. This was no small change. We are still looking for donations, sponsors and investors for upcoming events and make up for the loss.

: Suggestions

: As you all know, it was a huge undertaking to transfer the conference on such short notice to another venue and that caused that we did not have time to organise it in the way that we intended. I think we did well as a group under these circumstances. ...We feel we can do a much better job next time...

: Presentations

: Robert would like to ask you to send in your last updated slide presentation so he can put it in your presentation. ...

: He will do the best he can to get all presentations online ASAP. We are now looking at the possibility if somebody can help him with that.

: If you want to put your presentation online than we stimulate that, we only ask you to mention us in the description (website) and ask people to support us by donation. We decided to post all presentations for free because we feel its important that this information gets out.

: Next conference

: [The] ideal situation is that we get some funding to do this full time and host two conferences a year: one in the Denver area annual and one in another country.

: We are now in close contact Michael Tellinger to host our next event in South Africa around April-May 2014

: We are also looking at two locations for our Denver area event for August -September 2014

: Media and promo material

: If you have any links from media concerning our event, then please send them over so we can use that for future promotion.

: We got a lot of comments from visitors who said this was a life changing event for them. I think we can all be proud of that.

: All the best and keep up the good work.

: Jeroen van Straaten, Globalbem Breakthrough Energy Movement

'Free Energy Blog:2013:10:29'

Relevance: Event:2013:Yildiz Magnet Motor Demos

Halil posted the following videos from the Turkish Expo.

Expo Innovation Turkiye 2013 - 1

(YouTube October 25, 2013)

Shows a newer design being put together, and spun, but not running. Duration: 1:56 minutes.

- - - -

Expo Innovation Turkiye 2013 - 2

(YouTube October 25, 2013)

Shows the main motor spinning continuously at fairly high speed. Video duration: 1:24 minutes.

- - - -

Expo Innovation Turkiye 2013 - 3

(YouTube October 25, 2013)

While the main motor can be heard running in the background, this videos shows the other motor spinning by hand, slowly, not maintained. Video duration: 36 seconds.

TRT HABER TV - From live broadcast

(YouTube October 25, 2013)

Shows TV footage, with Yildiz starting the motor.

Sterling's Comment: It seems in these videos that Yildiz has a nice, satisfied smile on his face, in contrast to the concerned look he had at the Geneva expo. He seems happy with the performance of the main motor.

I wish he would have tried running it continuously. But that didn't seem important to him. He was hoping to demonstrate it to the Turkish Prime Minister. I don't know if that happened.
