HyTech (nickname for Hydrogen Technology Applications Inc) claims a process of converting H20 to HHO, producing a gas that combines the atomic power of hydrogen with the chemical stability of water. Tightly related to Brown's Gas technology. See this paper on the differences between HHO and Brown's Gas.

A fuel economy enhancement application is presently being pursued as well.

In addition to marketing the H2O Model 1500 unit as a welding, cutting, brazing and soldering device, HyTech intends to promote the underlying technology utilized by the H2O Model 1500 Gas Generator as a fuel-generating device in other high volume applications primarily through licensing arrangements. Comments Regarding Video

Comment by NEC member, Congress:Member:Ken Rasmussen on May 12, 2006.

: If you listen closely in the video, he is running a COMBINED MIX of gasoline and his HHO gases. He is NOT getting 1600 miles solely to a gallon of water. The water only augments the gasoline. No different from the HyDrive and other hydrogen boost systems.

: If his generator is anything like the Brown's Gas units commercially available for years (Directory:Dennis Lee among others) they suck a lot of power to make the electrolyzed gas referred to as "Brown's Gas" although several individuals are claiming origination of the process. Many others have learned how to do it on their own, but never sought patents.

: He may have an efficient way to break down water for pure hydrogen and oxygen to run an engine. Several of us are on the verge of perfecting the process, but none of us want to make fools of ourselves with TV claims until ALL the bugs are exterminated. [...]

: It is nice to see main stream media pointing a camera at something the rest of us have known about for years though.

: Ouch! - this is the kind of misleading story that drives public ignorance about energy and fuel. Fox was very irresponsible in their choice of words to call water a fuel. Water is not a fuel, it can be a source material to create an inefficient fuel, the gas HHO - which is the fuel and NOT water. Water is to the gas HHO what ash is to wood. Directory:Dennis Lee does a scam to make people think water can be used to power things - it can't , water is the waste product. Gases are dangerous and hard to store and hard to compress - they do not do an efficient job of temporarily storing energy. The best way to use water to store energy is to pump it to an uphill storage tank - that way only has about an 20% energy loss compared with typical total 70- 90% loss rates of using electrical power to separate water into gas, and then harnessing the energy available by burning it.

: The gas produced by separating water is dangerous and has been called many things including Browns gas. It has been available for years from many sources. These machines are heavy and suck in a lot more power than you ever get out of them by burning the gas back into water. Around 15 years of promoting browns gas for welding, cutting, etc haven't seem to have made much of an impact on the world of working metal.

Comment by NEC member, Congress:Member:Noah Seidman on Jan 15, 2007.

This technology is practically indistinguishable from Brown's Gas systems. The electrolytic process used is claimed to be more comparable to "Magnegas" than traditional electrolysis, but because the water especially is made conductive, via electrolyte, the 1'st and 2'nd laws of electrolysis apply. There is an ongoing debate as to the novelty of electric arc technology as compared to electrolysis, but for the time being distinction will remain. The generator produced by HTA in Florida is a quality machine that will help the progress of the Brown's Gas industry, my only quam is the confusion introduced by the creation of the novel term "HHO" that represents a gas that is practically indistinguishable from Brown's Gas. The gas has the exact same properties as Brown's Gas, and the only way to make distinction in on a molecular level whereas "HHO" is claimed to contain a novel magnecular bond different than an Ionic bond, a Hydrogen bond, and a Covalent bond. Yes, there is no reason why clever marking is a bad thing, but Brown's Gas should have been explained in the Fox News Broadcast to show the long history of the technology. With the introduction of HHO as a new phenomenon, the long history of the gas is not considered, showing much disrespect for a now deceased Yull Brown and hundreds of other individuals working with Brown’s Gas technology worldwide.

How it Works

: "...Ability to generate a unique type of hydrogen/oxygen gas mixture (a "unique gas", which we call "Klein/HHO" gas) on demand from a lightweight, compact machine that uses the water electrolysis process as its underlying technology basis.

: "This unique gas is infinitely stable until it comes in contact with a select target media. Then it sublimates, causing a molecular surface exchange of certain elements, reacting with such excitation as to cause temperatures of up to 10,000° F, the temperature of our Sun's surface, which is currently the limits of our ability to measure."

Potential Applications

: "Klein/HHO Gas can be used as a primary fuel source or fuel additive for gasoline, diesel and aircraft turbine engines. The HHOS can be retrofitted into existing engines with very little modification."

Abstract : The present invention discloses an electrolyzer for electrolyzing water into a gaseous mixture comprising hydrogen gas and oxygen gas. The electrolyzer is adapted to deliver this gaseous mixture to the fuel system of an internal combustion engine. The electrolyzer of the present invention comprises one or more supplemental electrode at least partially immersed in an aqueous electrolyte solution interposed between two principle electrodes. The gaseous mixture is generated by applying an electrical potential between the two principal electrodes. The electrolyzer further includes a gas reservoir region for collecting the generated gaseous mixture. The present invention further discloses a method of utilizing the electrolyzer in conjunction with the fuel system of an internal combustion engine to improve the efficiency of said internal combustion engine.
