Pure Energy Systems News

September 29, 2010

Beginning July 13, General Electric (GE) has been welcoming ideas for their "Ecomagination Challenge: Powering the Grid" initiative. As of Sept. 29, with a few hours left for submitting, there have been over 3,000 ideas submitted. The deadline for submissions and voting is midnight Sept. 30, 2010, Mountain time. You may enter as many ideas and vote for as many as you wish.

There are only a few hours left, but we would encourage you to submit your technology or approach if you think it should be included in this contest. We just submitted one for the New Energy Congress, and invite you to vote for it:

New Energy Congress: A Think Tank to Identify and Facilitate the Best Breakthrough Clean Energy Devices- We have a free energy news and directory service to find the very best renewable energy technologies that often get overlooked by more conventional thinking. Our validation efforts can bring needed credibility to claims of unusual working devices that could revolutionize the industry with clean, cheap, sustainable energy.

As an action item, I would urge all of you to at least vote (upper right hand corner) for our submission and at least one other item that looks of interest to you. Please take a few minutes to do this.

Just a few hundred votes would push our idea right into the top 50. I think we could do that with your help. Vote and tell your friends to vote. Really, it only takes just a minute or so, and it could help bring the needed attention.

I've listed below a few entrants that seemed of particular merit or interest from among the top 100 vote getters so far. This PESWiki site is publicly editable, so feel free to add your listing down below under There was an error working with the wiki: Code[1], unless it is in the top 100, in which you can post it higher, accordingly.

This contest is part of a wider R&D initiative by GE started five years ago as part of a green marketing campaign. They invested $1.5 billion on Ecomagination R&D last year, and have committed to invest an additional $10 billion by 2015. [

Oct. 3, 2010 Update

Thanks to your support in voting for our idea, with a little more than 24 hours of voting time left, we were able to make it to around #250 of over 3500 ideas submitted by the time voting stopped on Sept. 30. I should also mention that at Raphial Morgado's request, I submitted the following entry.

Submitted to GE's Ecomagination Challenge: Massive Yet Tiny (MYT) Engine for energy generation - The MYT Engine is an internal combustion engine of new design that features multiple firings in one cycle, producing enormous torque in a small area. This enables supper-efficient combustion from fossil fuels as well as biofuels. Applications also include geothermal energy and wind power storage and retrieval. (Sept. 30, 2010) [submitted just before the contest closed, so no one else was able to sign on as a "supporter".]
