To use BioDiesel, you need a diesel engine. Bear in mind the cost of growing crops. Only when waste/excess organic matter is used can BioDiesel be considered a "renewable" energy source. The diesel engine was originally designed to run on vegetable oil so farmers could grow their own fuel.

[How a Diesel Engine Chamber Ignites] - John Swain, physicist at Northeastern University, shows how a rapidly compressed chamber lights a cotton ball on fire, to illustrate how a diesel engine works. ( Sept. 30, 2004)
