'David Martínez's Report of Directory:Acetone as a Fuel Additive Effect on Mileage and Performance'
make & model of car: Seat Ibiza 1.2 12V 2002
5 gear manual
fuel: gasoline 95 octane unleaded
ratio(s) of acetone used:
3 oz/10g = 90 mml/40l
mileage before: 41´26 mpg (5'7 liters per 100 kms)
26-06-2006. 3oz/10g = 90 mml/40l
total: 665 kms or 443´33 milles
average: 6 l/100kms = 39´19 mpg
expected: 5'5 l/100kms or less
next test: reduce to 2 oz per gallon = 60 mml/40l
number of miles tested: 665
other observations (power, idle, exhaust) : better iddle, less noise, recovered the torque or all engine power.
Test start date 07 june 06
Gas tank capacity is 10 gallons.
I really know my car has good efficiency, fuel consume, smoother engine.... but i wanna have better results, as a diesel engine.
Have to drive over 28 kms per day, aprox. 13'76 miles in freeway and a bit in the city.
26-june-2006. First tank. 665 kms with 40 liters.
26-06-2006. 3 oz/10 gallons = 90 mml/40l
Increase of consumption: 3 milles per gallon / 30 milles
Due to excesss of acetone, would have had a higher burst of gasoline.
Next test: 2 oz/10 gallons.
