'This is only one intermediate step, about which we are here - in arrangement with Mike Brady - reporting. But the readers of the “NETJournal” should know that the story of the Perendev Magnet Motor is progressing. This all the more important, as many among our readers have been waiting for the motor to go on sale, since that March April issue 2007, in which the Perendev inventor was interviewed.'

Loyalty and solidarity

The calls, letters and emails of frustrated Perendev customers, which are accusing the editors of having unfairly favored Perendev in their interview in the March April Edition of 2007, falsely reporting the device to be ready to market, are filling whole file folders. It went so far that disappointed customers filed a complaint with that Munich public prosecutor's office against Perendev. They cited the editors as “accomplices” (however we remained quite unimpressed!). Perendev is accused to this day of not fulfilling promises given that they would be supplying magnet engines.

The editors and owners of the Company TransAltec AG, whose board of directors had ordered one 100-kW-Magnetmotor in April 2007 and had prepaid 50%, were also frustrated over the delays, but their conviction regarding the technology and their loyalty and solidarity with the company and the inventor are so far unbroken. During their research for the book “Energy from the Universe” (2001, Jupiter publishing house, out of print) they had studied and investigated many cases of inventors, whose technologies have been functioning for decades, but which never had come to market.

Professor (em.) Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. Josef Gruber in his new book “Space Energy Technology - the best way to reach sustainability in energy production” names the barriers: The public is not interested scientists are unable to correctly evaluate potential conflicts with existing companies incomplete inventions Inventor without business experience financial problems etc.

You might decide for yourself, which of those reasons have been preventing the marketing of Perendev's magnet engines so far. The fact is that the editors have been and continue to be in friendly contact with Mike Brady, who has been living and working some Months now in Switzerland.

Visiting Mike Brady - or how a magnet engine functions!

In the middle of January 2009, Mike Brady invited the editors, to come and view the components of a 300-kW Magnet motor at his home. The parts had been manufactured during the last seven weeks by a Zuerich mechanical engineering company. It was a very impressive sight, and the editors had the feeling to experience a historical moment after many months of doubting and hoping to finally see some “hardware”! Mike Brady showed them how he pushed a magnet carrier into the rotor and/or in the stator. The magnet carriers are highly precise workmanship with dove tail guides (Swiss quality!).

After Mike Brady had fetched the components at the mechanical engineering company, he put them directly into his pickup truck, because he wanted to take them to Germany, to the licensee there, in order to complete the parts with electromagnets to make demo equipment, which he says is run with a special impulse program (in an integrated electronic unit).

The arrangement of the magnets corresponds to one used with a linear magnetic apparatus, which Dietmar Hohl of the company FEMRAD built in Austria and which he published in the Internet. For the first time t is shown there, how a magnet engine functions! (Reference: Dietmar Hohl will present his magnet engine experiment at the workshop “Hydrogen equipment/Magnet engines” of 21. /22. February in Pelham/Chiemgau) In the video it is clearly recognizable how a runner magnet accelerates along one row of stator magnets. The function is similar to a railgun (linear), but it is obvious that with a circular arrangement, such acceleration is possible as well.

In the following the components are described, those the editors got to see.

First however a principal picture from the website

Depicted is the representation of the cylindric stator housing with the front and rear sectorized circular end piece and the central hub for the admission the ball bearings and the steel axle. This simplified graphic shows only 4 sector props represented, in reality there are 5.

On the preceding page on the right is a photograph of Mike Brady, who is holding a stator-side magnet carrier (without dove tail) in his hand. Such carriers are equipped with two neodymium iron boron magnets and are fixed by means of 4 machine screws (allen bolts) on the internal periphery of the engine cylinder before the installation. On that cylinder we can see 18 of holes, which means maximally 18 magnet carriers may be attached. In the foreground of that photo, left of the rotor, further stator-side magnet carriers (without dove tail) are visible. Some of the magnet carriers are tapered, obviously to more optimally take up and transfer the tangential propelling magnetic field strengths. The necessity of a skewed arrangements of the magnets is also visible in the already mentioned experiments of the Austrian company FEMRAD with a permanent magnetic linear drive.

In the foreground Adolf Schneider holds a runner-side magnet carriers. At the lower side we see a dove tail magnet guide (also tapered by 45 degrees). This construction makes it possible to install runner magnet carriers on the rotor through the sector windows of the assembled machine.

Adolf Schneider checked the precision of the dove tail machining which has to be absolutely precise. A comparison with a second magnet carrier did not show any difference in "feel". The precision seemed to be within micrometer tolerances.

In the next photo we have a darkened enlargement of the first picture showing the dove tail execution of the rotor magnet carriers in more detail. Just as well visible are the two large rectangular recesses for the admission of the square Neodymium magnets.

Visible on the left is a parallel led narrow recess (Gutter) which possibly serves to house shielding material, which would make the magnetic field act primarily in one direction.

In the above photo we see all the parts which Mike Brady had stored on 14. January 2009 temporarily in his pickup truck. (A cold box visible in the background is part of the pickup's equipment and has nothing to do with the EMM.) On the left side in the cardboard are ball bearings as well as two gear wheels, on the right is a small starter unit, needed for starting the machine. The construction is realized in such a way that the machine does not automatically start. Only after reaching a certain number of revolutions through the electronic Control electromagnets it starts to continuously deliver power.

The next picture shows the situation after a second magnet carrier staff has been mounted by the dove tail guidance.

In the following detail we see the two end pieces to be mounted on the left and right side of the EMM cylinder. The comparison with the cigarette box shows that the diameter the right ring for instance is about 5,7 times as large as the height of the cigarette box. With a height of the Camel Cigarette box of 8,7 cm we can thereby calculate a diameter of 50 cm.

Comparison to the linear drive of FEMRAD

As Dietmar Hohl of FEMRAD reported on 13 January, he could perform some successful measurements with a permanent magnetic line accelerator (MDS Magnetdrucksystem). This is a basic experiment “MDS Versuch# 11-c_02”, which according to Hohl shows a possibility of the constricting an autonomously starting magnet engine.

The cart of the linear accelerator visibly accelerates from stator to stator and gains kinetic Energy! Acceleration rises clearly with reduced distance between rotor and stator. In the current F&E-video the distance is 7 mm, the acceleration forces reach over 1000 Pond! (see def. of kilopond:

It is obvious that the runner magnet is accelerated due to the field configuration of the diagonally placed stator magnets already when passing the first stator magnet. Since the runner magnet is accelerated without any hang-up at each position within the intermediate range of the stator magnets - far away from the field distortions at the beginning or end - this is proof of the feasibility in principle of a permanent magnetic Linear acceleration.

The stator can be made up of as many magnets as desired, the runner will continue to accelerate. This makes a permanent magnetr railgun possible which functions without visible energy input.

Professor Dr. engineer K. Meyl had, in reaction to our article “Project to 'the most efficient Converter of all times': 'Schienenkonverter' (Railgun)” in “NET journal”, No. 7/8, 2007, P. 47-52, referred to the fact that a Railgun NASA had built, had obtained kinetic energy 24,000 times as large the electromagnetic Energy pumped into those coils. This is further evidence of the fact that in the case of magnetic and/or electromagnetic linear accelerators, the actual energy source obviously is in the atomic magnetic spin fields and/or in the coupled background field.

From linear accelerator to circular accelerator

If one arranged a limited number stator magnets on a circular path, then that should function just like the linear arrangement. This opinion was also expressed by George Soukup in “NET journal”, No. 9/10, 2008, and he suggested an appropriate experiment.

During the original construction of a magnet engine of Mike Brady in accordance with patent application WO2006045333A1 of 4 May 2006, the magnet engine with closed stator halves had to be permanently connected to a generator load. Some who copied such magnet engines had already seen that the apparatus attained increasingly fast revolutions and accelerated up to the breaking point, if there was no brake mechanism.

Patrick Caster wrote on 22.1.2006 in a contribution on peswiki regarding the successful reproduction of the Perendev concept:

"My perendev motor did work. I made a small scale of it and modified it so it would work (seemed simple in principle my modifications). I had no speed control, just trying to see if it would work. Eventually went so fast it flew apart."

Additional references about Perendev's constructions

With the demo magnet engines the individual components are milled from aluminium. On the basis of this manufacturing technique, only small numbers of items can be made each month. Besides this, the engines in connection with magnets and coils have a substantial weight. The complete design documents (CAD Design) come from Mike Brady, who is a specialist in this area. Those designs can be directly converted in modern CNC milling machines by data input from the CD.

In series production the parts will be made of plastic by injection moulding procedure, which permits production numbers within the range of several thousand per month for each production plant. However the production of the tools requires substantial investment. The actual Series production can only start when the necessary investments for the structure of the production facilities including the tools for the injection moulding are available. Licensees such as TransAltec AG in Switzerland will only be able to raise the necessary funds from banks and private investors after the presentation of demo models. That is what makes the demonstration of the first functioning magnet engines so important.

Interview with Mike Brady

as: Mike, our readers and Perendev prospective customers we know ask themselves what's the reasons for the delay of the marketing. Can you say something about it?

MT: There are several reasons: on the one hand US financial partners have withdrawn and thus the marketing is made more difficult, on the other hand I am for reasons of secrecy an one-man operation, as regards the realization of the demo model. In my house in Switzerland I do not have a workshop to assemble components. I had the components manufactured in a Swiss mechanical engineering shop.

is: You bring the components to Germany?

MT: Yes, I take them to the German licensee, who together with me will assemble and test the components. I bring then the demo generator back into Switzerland, to show to you - as the potential Swiss Licensee.

as: Don't promised investments dempend on the presentation?

MT: A Russian company has promised a seven-digit sum, which principally I would like to use to found an industrial company in R. (place close Zurich lake) and to start production in Switzerland. But it will not be possible to have any large scale production there.

as: The components are made of aluminium, while for production in large Numbers of items probably one uses plastic?

MT: Yes, the components are in aluminium. In earlier machines the plastic Rotors and - stators were produced in a costly and time-consuming way one by one with 4 - axle CNC milling machines. Only in the next phase, starting from numbers of items from 500 to 1000 per month, these parts can be produced in a fully automatic injection moulding procedure.

is: As you know, we know in Switzerland and abroad a whole lot of investors, who are waiting only for a demo to make marketing possible with their investments. Investors and potential sublicencees want to help kick-start production in Switzerland then.

MT: That is the reason, why I want to bring a demo engine back to Switzerland. It will not be possible to invite as many people to a demo as would like to come. I think however that you enjoy a good reputation in the “scene”, so that it would be sufficient, if you were it to report that you saw a successful demo.

as: Many ask themselves, why not one of the apparently over sixty users of a Perendev Magnet motor is ready to show it to prospective customers and investors. Can you say why that is?

A Top Secret topic!

MT: The reasons lie in the fact that all the users feel endangered for life, limb and body, as soon as they spread the message of the existence of their engine. Every user to whom I sent interested people, got serious problems soon after that. I feel responsible for the safety of these users, so I will not take the risk of making their locations known.

as: This precautionary measure is probably justified. We have spoken with a German user, who threatened us, not to make his location known. A Top Secret topic! As soon as we will be able to acquire the Swiss license, we will handle publicity differently and we will make the whole thing public. We have no fear!

Another Question: the prototype, which is now to be assembled, does it contain substantial innovations compared with earlier prototypes?

MT: This is a fifth generation prototype, which in relation to earlier generations has a whole number of improvements. I have developed and designed those entire CAD/CNC plans myself - I am specialist in that - and that naturally cost some time. These data, which make the successful reproduction of one Prototype possible, will then be made available to the licensees on CD.

as: How is that with the black box? It probably contains the actual know-how, control circuit and exact hardware/software mediated controls of the current pulses for the solenoid coils?

The schedule

MT: Yes, we have two such Components, on the one hand a monitoring unit, which is responsible for speed and phase control, and on the other hand a so-called black box. The magnet engine gets stabilized at 3,000 revolutions and then drives - over a reduction gear 1:2 - the alternator or coupled synchronous motor, which for example is laid out for 1,500 rpm. The actual black box contains a GPS module as well as a GSM communications unit, which constantly monitors and reports to a control center the current data and operating conditions of the machine. This Service concept brings substantial advantages and strengthens customer confidence in our market competence.

is: Can you in the end still answer for us the question about a timing schedule?

MT: I count on the fact that demo engine will be ready in February 2009 and then a demo in Switzerland will be possible. Then you can invite selected investors and potential licensees to a demo, at a secret place at Zurich lake. I will probably be starting with that small series production in Switzerland in April/May begin, while in Germany the licensee will be working on production in series and continue marketing.

as/is: The successful demonstration will then be the go-signal for us as the owners of the option of a Swiss Perendev license, to choose a production location and, together with our potential sublicencees to start production. We are looking forward to this, and hope that it won't be long. We are fully motivated to produce this revolutionary technology for the users and particularly for the environment. Explanation of Mark Goldes, why magnet engines function at all!

Mark Goldes, president of the company “Magnetic Power Inc.” points out that the internal energy of ferro-electrical materials can be tapped and/or uncoupled using induced electrical fields, free electrons in the conduction band or mechanical stress (

The normal induction law, which describes the emergence of an alternating current in an induction loop penetrated by an electrical alternating field, is valid in exactly the same way for the elementary spin fields of electrons. It is well known that each atomic electron has both a path spin and a eigenspin.

When magnetic systems are configured - either in linear arrangement or in a rotation engine - in an arrangement where they produce a continuous acceleration moment, the power and/or energy that is produced must originate from the inexhaustible quantum reservoir, which continuously “propels” all atomic spin fields.

The classical energy laws assume physical energy systems are always closed. According to this conservative view there can be no energy surplus (or deficiency) within a closed space. That is, there are no (unknown) energy sources or sinks. It is however a fact that all processes on the atomic level, for example the Browian molecular movement or path spin and eigenspins of the electrons, are constantly fed by the inexhaustible reservoir of background energy. The total energy balance of the universe of course remains always balanced, but within limited local ranges exceptions are quite possible and unequalities may exist.

It would help if there was a demonstration ... and I might further add that the story of some working machines being out there already but no one can see them because of MIB fears does not really go together well with the construction of a demonstration model taking a lot of time...

So while I do not think that a magnet motor is impossible, I do believe that Brady is further away from making one than he would like his potential investors and the general public to believe.
