Tesla the Genius

On Nov. 30, 2006, New Energy Congress member, Congress:Founder:Sterling D. Allan wrote:

As a long-time fan of Nikola Tesla, I was glad to see him presented as such a genius, far ahead of his time.

Though a sub-plot to the main plot of intrigue between two rival magicians, Tesla's brilliance is a strong theme underpinning the film.

He makes a classic statement in the film. Something to the effect that "you can only make one revolutionary discovery in a lifetime. If you then go beyond that, then you will be shunned." Two episodes of his shunning in that generation were depicted in the film. Once when he was making a stage presentation, and the other when his lab was burned by thugs hired by Edison.

After watching this show, one is left to wonder if Tesla is still too far ahead of our time, a hundred years later.

I wonder how many people even entertain the possibility that Tesla very well may have invented the technology depicted in the film. Certainly the point was made that man is prone to abuse the technology he is given.
