Excerpted post from Bedini_Monopole list
I participate to the Bedini_Monopole list on YahooGroups. The below is a short appreciation & response I wrote to Ron P. who had posted the email collection by John B. I it felt worth reposting here, with minor edits, as a reminder to us all regarding thanks, and keeping the spirit of joy & exploration as an integral part of holistic (as opposed to "dispassionate") science.

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
doesn't make any sense."
-- Jalal Al-Din Rumi
Nine bows to the poets & artists & engineers, and the soul of the man, John B., dogged, generous, disciplined, inspired, curmudgeonly, intuitive, outrageous, focused, and all the other qualities evoked by your collection of his posts-as-poetry.
Thank you for producing it, sharing it, and then for contextualizing it in such a way, without offense or ego.
I share your admiration of John B.--and in similar fashion ("this guy rocks the house! he is such a badass!"). Sometimes when I'm reading/ studying, working on this stuff, I have to take five to leap around the room out of irrepresible excitement for this "something new under the sun" which he has shared with the world. I'm not sleeping much, but I also have more energy & hope than I've had in several years.
While we approach all of these experiments with scientific method, and thoroughness, let's be sure to include and make space for the expression of the inherent joy--of discovery, inspiration, and basic wonder--which has been the hallmark of the most creative & productive minds & communities in the history of such exploration.
Why did Tesla cede all royalties to Westinghouse?
What is the opposite of entropy?
The answer is the same. And we still lack a scientifically adequate vocabulary word for it, and for its attributes. "An-entropy" is just a double-negative. And Dylan Thomas's "The force that through the green fuse drives the flower." is a little long to insert into a mathematical formula.
Warm regards & respect to all on this list--thanks for your community, intention, civility, and for this shared passion. Some day we may come up with an adequate way to appropriately thank John B., Peter, and those others who we are still so fortunate to have among us.
But I surmise that the best thanks they can receive--from their perspective--is to see what we are doing right here, right now, which is continuing and expanding the work they began, in the spirit & tradition/approach and sense of community that they have modelled for us.
Friends, it's not just the specific devices or attributes they have shared which I find so valuable, but exactly what was defined (yesterday? on this list?). How do you validate for yourself the most worthy & real of the whole free-energy realm? They are ones who, like an exasperated parent, continue to try to give us what they have learned, despite every frustration & even when we've spit in their faces (metaphorically).
Their opposites are also easy to spot--they share only fragments, they don't trust the basic, inherent "enoughness" and "abundance" that is actually proven by the very technology they covet out of a sense of scarcity. Pity, that. They have redemption in their hands, and yet the Pearl of Great Price is only pays off once you have given it away.
Which one died happier and more satisfied, Tesla, or Edison? I don't claim to know the answer, but if apocryphy is to be trusted, Tesla died after some dialogue / letter writing to Sam Clemens (who had been dead a while, and no one felt like reminding Tesla). What's the wealth & value of not just one, but the gift of several true & good friendships based on trust, mutual respect, and a shared passion for discovery? Versus dying with loads of cash in the bank account?
So while we embody thanks via our practice of replicating and advancing (some day) the work, I'll add that John & Peter & Tom (who else?) might also enjoy it if we threw them one hell of a party. Can you imagine the diagrams we'd draw in the beer-suds?
Your SG Engine
I saw how happy you were in your post about getting the SG system to work. I congratulate you on that, however I noticed that you said "it works" and that clicked something in my mind. The point of reproducing this project is not whether it works or not, because it does work, but to prove whether or not it is overunity. So far all PS-Wiki tests have conclusively proven that it is not over-unity. It does not put out more energy that comes in. Even with coaching from PL and BD none of them have produced this excess "radiant" energy. I don't believe that this model will ever produce radiant energy, although I think it is a great project in and of itself. As far as I can tell this model works (i.e. wheel turns) and it doesn't work (i.e. not overunity). I challenge you to prove me wrong :) Grundle 17:35, 10 Jul 2006 (EDT)
