Dealing with Spam

Hi Tim,

Thanks for notifying us of User talk:213.228.80.210.

The instance of which you speak must be an old one (not caught by us yet), because for more than half a year we have required that a person log in before posting anything to the site. When they log in, their username is associated with the post, not their IP.

Were you able to undo the spam? If not let me know what page it is so I can fix it. Thanks for your participation.

Sterling (SilverThunder 10:56, 5 Mar 2006 (EST))

You undid it yourself.

I just wanted to make sure the talk page of the IP was marked. The IP should be blocked, imho. Timharwood 12:07, 5 Mar 2006 (EST)

I always ban spammers as soon as they show their heads. SilverThunder 13:15, 5 Mar 2006 (EST)

Fuel Efficiency Directory

Thanks for what you are doing on the Fuel Efficiency directory page. We've been needing to do that for a long time.

I've created a header and footer sample, if you would not mind doing the same for all the sub pages you have created.

Directory:Fuel_Efficiency_Alternative_Fuels

We might also create a right-hand navigation column similar to what we have for the NEC pages as well as the FPPP pages.

Also, I like the brief description you added on the main index page. It would be nice if we could eventually expand each of these to about a paragraph in length, capturing the highlights from the page.

It would be good, too, to make the link more attractive. A space between words looks better than the underscore, and both work the same way with wikimedia.

Sysop

I've made you a Sysop. Keep up the great work. You can now edit protected pages and you can add/remove protection from pages. SilverThunder 03:58, 19 Mar 2006 (EST)

Thanks. Timharwood 06:24, 19 Mar 2006 (EST)

Protecting Pages

I see you protected the CDmotor page due to "vandalism" and "untrue statements."

I do not consider those ample reason for protection. One-time, or occasional infractions can easily be corrected through monitoring the pages. The only time protection is validated is when a page is under bombardment -- repeated malicious attacks (which happens sometimes by spambots -- but hasn't happened for quite some time due to prevention software we have installed).

Alternate points of view should be given either a section on the page, either called "alternate theories" or "skeptics", or should be given a page of their own, with a link from the page. A preface or epilogue rebuttal is welcome (so long as it is not heated, but kept to the facts).

SilverThunder 11:16, 19 Mar 2006 (EST)

Well, the experiments were very widely replicated at the time. Temperature probe readings, oscilloscope shots, the lot. I can't see how the basic claims are really open to question. I was going to create a link for comment / replications, but I don't care to get involved in pointless arguments, about things that were validated in such great detail 2/3 years ago. I want to be very precise about what is stated on the main pages, and the CD motor and POD experiments are very much my own. Timharwood 11:49, 19 Mar 2006 (EST)

Where the material is more like an archival publication by yourself, then a page protect is understandable, if you prefer. People can post suggested changes to the Talk page. SilverThunder 12:03, 19 Mar 2006 (EST)

CD Motor -- Open Source Project?

I wrote the following before you posted the above comment about this project being essentially fulfilled 2/3 years ago. However, not every one who potentially is interested in this project was in on that project. For their sakes, perhaps the following is something you might consider.

In looking at your Directory:CDmotor page, it seems to me that it qualifies as a true open source project (no encumbrances). If so, we should move it to OS:CD_Motor. As you know, moved pages are automatically forwarded from links to the previous location, either internally or externally.

It would also be good to get some links to your previous project location and discussion group so people can view those materials.

A link to Robert Adam's work would be good too.

If you are game, you could expand the page with subpages for

  • materials
  • instructions
  • theory

migrating some of your previous materials here, in a well-organized, easy-to-follow format.

What is not clear yet on the page as it is, is what the energy-related objective is. Is it just exotic science exhibiting quirky phenomenon, or is there a potentially viable application of this phenomenon in a real-world move away from dependence on fossil fuel? An "applications" section would be good to have, near the beginning, after a brief overview of what the device does and how it works.

Thanks

Well, if there is a demand for it, I will setup CD motor as an OS project. POD pairs with it, as it was a derivative experiment. I don't have all my old files on this machine, so it will have to wait a few days. I won't be supporting it in an Egroup, but I will tell people what to expect, and will do a FAQ. It was very widely replicated at the time, so the basic experiment is well worked out.

As for Robert Adams, he is VERY FUSSY about people not speaking on his behalf. So I would prefer not to write an entry on him while he is alive , although I am hardly short of knowledge / opinions on the matter. Timharwood 12:47, 19 Mar 2006 (EST)

I would think that because the project is so well developed that a clear presentation would result in hardly any maintenance. It will take care of itself. SilverThunder 13:32, 19 Mar 2006 (EST)

It looks like you're pretty close to being done. We still need to get some inter-page connectivity going. Let me know when you are done so I can announce the page. SilverThunder 20:47, 24 Mar 2006 (EST)

Well, it needs the replications posted. Its NOT done until that is filled out. So far as I am aware, I am the ONLY person to have published an experiment, that when replicated by home experimenters, produced an independently validated (with a digital temperature probe) temperature drop. Such a thermal anomaly, is clear cut evidence of a thermoelectric process i.e. ambient heat-to-voltage. But its like the Flynn PP effect. If you blink, you can miss what is happening completely. The effect is very narrow, and highly specific. But we sorted it. Timharwood 06:24, 25 Mar 2006 (EST)

Indirect harassment

I will no longer be making edits to the PESWIKI, due to a long term campaign of computer hacking attempts, dating back 5 years now, as quite clearly evidenced in my firewall logs, from Amsterdam and Marina del Rey, along with other indirect harassment, that has only worsened in recent months. My existing work stands, and does indeed elucidate ideas and concepts that can be made to work, with sufficient skills. I would encourage people who are not as heavily watched as I am, to continue the work in private / secret, well away from the glare of the internet, and email. Timharwood 16:24, 23 Jun 2006 (EDT)

Tesla High Frequency Patent Page

Nice work. I hope to feature this in our news in the next day or so.

It would help if you could come up with a ~30-word synopsis description that I could use in the bullet.

Keep up the great work.

The "Tesla Coil" was continually developed by Nikola Tesla in the 1890s. By the end of this period, it evolved into pulsed DC thermoelectric back emf voltage gain apparatus, with highly specific harmonic frequency tuning. Tesla's patents prove this. Timharwood 18:29, 10 October 2009 (PDT)

Ironically, public explanation of free energy physics comes from a historian, not a physicist. Timharwood 19:06, 10 October 2009 (PDT)
