NEC Membership
I noted the changes you made on the NEC and NEC Membership pages. Good job. -- SilverThunder 22:56, 21 Jan 2008 (EST)
Image Sizes
Hi Robert,
You're doing great work on the site.
One little thing. If you can, we prefer to go with 95x95 pixels on all our images so that the look is more consistent.
Thanks -- SilverThunder 00:39, 25 Jan 2008 (EST)
Videos
wondering why you removed the videos from Directory:Davidson Hill Venturi by Tidal Energy Pty Ltd the other day. The <youtube> code allows the embeding of the videos for watching on the page without clicking over to the YouTube site. Keeps people here. -- SilverThunder 01:24, 1 Feb 2008 (EST)
News Bullets
Hi Robert,
I saw the Millennium Cell news item you posted.
It's good information but needs to be formatted properly.
Please review this page News:format. When I asked for you to initial your submissions, I had in mind something like "(RP)" at the end, not ("3-Rivers Synergy Centre"; Feb 7, 2008).
It's important that news items be formatted properly. That is a high traffic page and needs to be done right. You're one of the few people who has "sysop" access to be able to edit that page.
Also, I really prefer that the images be 95x95, not taller, not more narrow. Sometimes they are shorter.
Here is the item that I removed. I was going to reformat it, but I couldn't find the news source that spoke of what you said.
Millennium Cell Inc. and Horizon Fuel Cell Technologies announced the completion of their HydroPak(TM) portable power generator.
The HydroPak(TM) combines Horizon's fuel cells with Millennium Cell's Hydrogen on Demand(R) storage technology to offer a clean and quiet power generator by providing infinite shelf life and enough energy to recharge an average notebook computer 8 to 10 times.
It can run indoors with quiet operation and zero harmful emissions, Is quieter, lighter and smaller than generators, stores more energy than possible with batteries and has a lower cost than any similar fuel cell device.
For more information visit Millennium Cell (http://www.millenniumcell.com) ("3-Rivers Synergy Centre"; Feb 7, 2008)
Thanks for giving it a try. -- SilverThunder 21:43, 7 Feb 2008 (EST)

I see you've posted a few more news bullets (thanks for that), and I would like to point out some general guidelines, which are mentioned briefly at the bottom of the news page:
- Each news bullet is prefaced by the name of the PESWiki directory or directories of relevance.
- The names of the directories listed should be linked to the relevant directory page.
- The sequence of directory names should be from parent to child, going from left to right.
- The directory names are modified to be concise and adequately descriptive.
- For example, a link to "Directory:Concentrated Solar Power" should be listed as "Concentrated Solar"; and because it contains the word "Solar", the parent listing of "Solar" before it is unnecessary.
- When the preface directory listings are not of a "parent > child" relationship, then they should be listed as "topic 1 / topic 2" with the forward slash between them.
- The title should be no more than 10 words, but can be as short as one word.
- The Description should be around 30 words long, not much more, and not much less. If there are not at least around 30 words to describe it, it shouldn't be in the news.
- The description should capture the essence of the story, concisely listing the most essential points. In most news stories, these are contained in the first two or three paragraphs, and sometimes are even given in a description at the beginning of the story, similar to how we do it at PESN.com
- The description should tie in to the relevance to renewable energy and the mission of PESWiki.
- At the end of the description should be the identification of the source in italics, and date, both in parenthesis; unless the link is directly to a company website.
- The same news bullet should be added to each directory page to which it is relevant, including directory pages that might not be listed in the preface links mentioned in #1 above. An exception to this would be that the bullet should not be posted both on a parent and daughter topic; but only on the daughter topic page.
- Where there are more than two people posting news items (which there will be when JQP returns), then at the end of the news item, list your initials in parenthesis, but don't create a hyperlink, e.g. (RLP)
Look back through the news for a month or so and you will see these guidelines represented well, except for the last one, which is a new need.
Speaking of guidelines, it would be good to create a help page specific to the formatting of news bullets and their distribution within the relevant directories as well. I'll do that shortly.

Okay, I've updated News:format. Note that I've changed the instructions regarding linking to your initials, compared to what I said above. Also, I've changed the suggested description length from 30 to 35 words. -- SilverThunder 13:39, 2 Mar 2008 (EST)
News Inbox
Hi Robert,
Thanks for bringing our attention to the Mariah Power development.
One rule of thumb for PESWiki postings is, "if the item is found elsewhere on the web, then we link to it and summarize it briefly; if it is not, and it is pertinent to our focus, then we'll publish it."
So in this case, a link to the press release URL would be adequte, along with any title/description/date info you wish to include.
Thanks -- SilverThunder
Your revised entries are much closer to the format we seek. Might just tighten up the wording on the descriptions to keep them under 30-35 words. On the Millennium cell, for example, I removed one of the sentences when I posted it to FreeEnergyNews.com and it still retained nearly the same info, as that sentence was redundant.

BioElectricity
I see you're moving the contents from FreeEnergyNews... over to Directory:BioElectricity. It's looking good. Much appreciated.
By the way, you're probably going to encounter an "edit conflict" error message. You'll notice that you'll be given a copy of the version as you changed it, so you can go in and grab the new stuff and add it to the page, without loosing your work.
However, I've found that system freezes, crashes, etc. are inevitable, so whenever I'm editing a large amount of content, I try to save the text in another program, such as an email draft, so I don't loose my work. I still loose stuff sometimes, but not as often as if I didn't do this.
Keep up the great work.
By the way, what's your skype username? I would have liked to ping you just now to warn you about the above, before you encounter it cold. Mine is sterlingda.

Image upload
By the way, when I upload images, I try to include the bullet format I'm preparing anyway, that way there is a memo about the relevant directory, and the news source of the image. I'm pulling the pullet together anyway, so I might as well post the info in the "description" box when I upload the image that goes along with it. That way, when people click on the image, they are not just taken to a page showing the image only, but they also see the bullet that goes along with it.

Electromagnetic Directory
Hi Robert,
Thanks for tackling this task. Now that you've copied this over, I'll remove the FreeEnergyNews content and create a forward to the PESWiki page.
However, there is one big thing that needs to be done on the page.
We generally do not list in alphabetical sequnce except in one place -- the comprehensive directory listing in alphabetical sequence. e.g. Directory:A
Rather, we list in order of quality as much as we can, so the best technologies are listed first.
Usually, the ones toward the bottom are more random.
Sometimes we solve this problem by beginning with a "Featured" section, where we list them in sequence of quality, followed by a "Remainder, in Alphabetical Sequence" section.
So would you mind re-ordering this page accordingly? You could just refer to the sequence as it was at http://www.freeenergynews.com/Directory/Electromagnetic/ (now archived at: http://www.freeenergynews.com/Directory/Electromagnetic/index_bk080213.html) or you can refer to the "history" tab at PESWiki to view an older version of the page. You can also use your own knowledge/insight to discern which are the best.
p.s. when posting the notice on my talk page, you mixed up your link syntax.
Here is how you formatted the link:
[http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Electromagnetic|Directory Electromagnetic]
For external links, it would be:
[http://peswiki.com/index.php/Directory:Electromagnetic Directory Electromagnetic]
For internal links, it should be:
[[Directory:Electromagnetic|Directory Electromagnetic]]

Streamline Number of Edits
One little tip. I try to conserve on the number of times I save down a page. I also try to use the individual section edit feature rather than the entire page edit feature at the top of the page, when I can. Each page save is archived and results in increased memory load on our account. But it's better to get things done than to worry about this and not get things done. Just something to keep in mind. -- SilverThunder 12:08, 13 Feb 2008 (EST)
Also, don't be bashful about using the "Preview" function before hitting "Save" to prevent multiple edits due to wrong syntax. -- SilverThunder 11:54, 2 Mar 2008 (EST)

See also should only be used for Newtork sites. That does NOT include Wikipedia.
I moved your links at Directory:Green tags. Thanks

I removed the links you added under "Hydro" because they were redundant, listed just a few inches below. -- SilverThunder 15:06, 24 Feb 2008 (EST)
PESWiki links
Whenever there is a PESWiki link, please use the internal link structure:
Sepp Hasslberger (http://peswiki.com/index.php/Congress:Member:Sepp_Hasslberger) should be represented as Sepp Hasslberger.
In code:<br> [http://peswiki.com/index.php/Congress:Member:Sepp_Hasslberger Sepp Hasslberger] should be represented as [[Congress:Member:Sepp_Hasslberger|Sepp Hasslberger]].

Luxim page
You ready for me to feature this? Directory:Luxim Corporation I'd like to have it as today's headline story. -- SilverThunder 20:31, 20 Mar 2008 (EDT)
I'm working on the page right now, so maybe you could wait to do further editing until I'm done, so we don't ahve edit conflicts. Thanks -- SilverThunder 21:06, 20 Mar 2008 (EDT)
Fuel Efficiency
I'm glad to see that you are having success with your Hydroxy Boost Addition. The thing that bothers me about those is the maintenance involved. If you have another vehicle that you plan to experiment with, please consider trying the Directory:Pulstar_Pulse_Plug in combination with a high performance ignition system. I suspect that improved the results for Directory:Pulstar_Plug:Jerry_Wills_Testimonial. The advantage of that method is that once it is installed, you can forget about it. I haven't done this yet myself, but I'm thinking about it. --John Q. Public 21:28, 19 Jun 2008 (EDT)
