VFT' Technology
Overview
Vapor Fuel Technologies has created a system that is based on vaporizing fuel and heating the air that mixes with the vaporized fuel prior to entering the cylinder for combustion. When properly controlled, this vaporization and heating causes a thermal expansion that accomplishes the dilution of both the fuel and air in the mixture without changing the ratio that allows the catalytic converter to work and provide acceptable emissions, including oxides of nitrogen (NOx). Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) can be used in lesser quantities with the VFT System to complete the dilution process and balance the power requirements of a normal driving cycle.

Independent Test Results
VFT's system was independently tested and verified at California Environmental Engineering (CEE) on April 25, 2007. CEE is an EPA recognized and California Air Resources Board (CARB) certified independent test laboratory located in Santa Ana, California. CEE has over twenty-five years of test experience and state of the art equipment. The results demonstrated an average improvement of 30.1% in miles per gallon when using the VFT System.

Technical Team
Bushnell Engineering, Inc. was hired by Vapor Fuel Technologies in 2000 to conduct technical due diligence on an existing technology claiming to increase fuel efficiency. While that technology was found to be insufficient, Bushnell Engineering was then retained to create such a technology and since then has been the technical lead on the project. [read more]
