Petroleum is a Renewable Resource

On Dec. 21, 2008, New Energy Congress member, Robert Pritchett, wrote:

'While a stream may fill a pond, multiple streams fill rivers and keep lakes alive behind dams and the resulting fluid may be harnessed to produce hydropower. The world is a big planet. "There is enough, and to spare", if we use our stewardships wisely.
Petroleum is a renewable resource and just like rain and snow fills streams, hydrocarbons have oozed and streamed from the earth for millennia and will continue to do so, whether we harness this gift and blessing, or not. Oil wells and fields are capped by government edict and not because the raw material isn't there.
At current consumption rates, we are nowhere near depleting the oil reserves that are under the Northern American Continent (hundreds of years to go). Oil is not a demon. It may be used for evil, but it is not evil.
We should not allow ourselves to be manipulated by those who control the media.
Oil as a "non-renewable" will go down in time as another myth, just like Global Warming was and is a myth. The problem is, so many people have vested interests in myths, they have to keep them alive, even while the glaring truth stares them in the face.
Some things are self-evident. Some things are hidden from view. We need to be open-minded enough to accept truth when it is offered to us, so they do not remain hidden."

Abiotic Oil Isn't Enough to Supply World Demand

On Dec. 21, 2008, New Energy Congress member, Paul Noel wrote to Sterling:

This replacement rate is as you say, less in most cases than we would want. The deposits of oil are massive and right there in Utah where you live, the government is trying to shut down and has suppressed production since the 1920's. USA coastal deposits of oil are massive and able for a long time. The problem we have is that the damage is severe to the environment. We cannot afford to have our energy sourced this way. The danger is of too much destruction. When I say this I am not a "hardcore green". Rather I am pretty practical about what we need to do.

I just flew over east Texas. We had a big front just through the area and the wind was clearing out the air. There was a thick haze layer from pollution up to about 10,000 feet. This was after a rain etc. What do we have to see before we change our ways. Nobody should be breathing this crud. This isn't to say I want to stop the oil guys dead cold. Rather we have to head another way.
