Freedom and Free Energy

Free energy is a matter of the users' freedom to power, create, manufacture, develop, produce, fabrication and improve the energy source. Free energy is a matter of liberty, not price. To understand the concept, you should think of free as in free speech, not as in free beer. The PESWiki website is designed to foster that objective to design a system to tap into a free energy source as inexpensively and practically as possible. More to the point, PESWiki wants to foster several kinds of freedom, for the users of any energy device. These include:
- The freedom to access a source which is not dependent upon limited resources.
- The freedom to operate the utilization device, for any purpose.
- The freedom to study how the device operate and works, and adapt it to your needs. Access to the design specifications is a precondition for this.
- The freedom to distribute anew copies of the specifications so you can help your neighbor.
- The freedom to re-engineer the specifications, and release your improvements to the public, so that the whole community benefits. Access to the design specifications is a precondition for this.
Free energy means a primary energy source that is "free" (i.e. does not cost anything) for consumption. The devices required to tap into energy are not free, but energy is free energy if users have all of these freedoms. Thus, you should be free to distribute a device, either with or without modifications, either gratis or charging a fee for construction and distribution, to anyone anywhere. Being free to do these things means (among other things) that you do not have to ask or pay for permission.
The freedom to utilize the device means the freedom for any kind of person or organization to use it in any system, for any kind of overall purpose, without being required to communicate about it with the developer or any other specific entity. In this freedom, it is the user's purpose that matters, not the developer's purpose; you as a user are free to run a program for your purposes, and if you distribute it to others, they are then free to run it for her purposes, but you are not entitled to impose your purposes on them.
