Talk:PowerPedia:Diesel engine

From PESWiki

It says, "If the camshaft of a six-cylinder engine is turning at 4500 rpm, the injection system has to control and deliver 225 injection cycles per second." However, (4500 revolutions / 1 minute) * (1 minute / 60 seconds) = 75 revolutions per second. Furthermore, 75 revolutions per second * 6 cylinders = 450 injections per second, not "225." I am a novice at mechanics, so it is likely that I am missing something, but shouldn't "225" be changed to "450"? It looks like 75 was multiplied by 3 and not 6 to get "225." Maybe the camshaft in the sentence turns twice per injection cycle, and that would account for the multiplier being 3 rather than 6.
