Reviewing Johnson's patent shows Perpetual Motion claims were originally accepted but later summarily rejected. Rumor has it that the original patent was issued with the device spinning on the examiner's desk after waiting for hours for the device to slow down after being given an initial spin. Is there any truth to this rumor? And a follow up, does anyone know if his device worked in both CW and CCW directions?
