MPG will always improve when weather is warmer, so 12% reported savings would be just about the difference between seasons due to engines richer mixture in cold weather. Whenever you do MPG comparisons, you have to have an equal baseline. Not to say acetone doesn't work for some, but rarely more than a couple percent on average is what my research has disclosed.
