They built the animals their own crossing (especially the elk) because that was where the natural crossing was, and after the highway was built there were far too many accidents. It didn't take the animals long to learn that this was their very own bridge! They make crosswalks for pedestrians, why not make more of these for migratory paths? Up between Park City and Kamas, Utah, they have high fences along the road with occasional walk-over mounds for the migratory animals, with flashing lights and crosswalk bars to signal the oncoming cars of the animal occupants. This has cut down significantly in accidents.

Our objective at PESWiki is to feature energy technologies that are seven generations sustainable.

Seven generation sustainability is an ecological concept that urges the current generation of humans to live sustainably and work for the benefit of the seventh generation into the future.

"In every deliberation, we must consider the impact on the seventh generation..." —Great Law of the Iroquois

The Seventh Generation originated with the Iroquois when they thought it was appropriate to think seven generations ahead (a couple hundred years into the future) and decide whether the decisions they make today would benefit their children seven generations into the future.
