Page Content to Migrate
Existing content to migrate to PESWiki:
- I would like to see all of the major index pages at FreeEnergyNews.com copied over to PESWiki so they can be collaboratively build here. If you happend to do a page, let me know, so I can create a redirect. -- SilverThunder 10:09, 3 Oct 2006 (EDT)
- I did the Solar page. For now it is called Directory:Solar:FEN. How can we integrate it into the other Solar pages? --John Q. Public 22:46, 28 Dec 2006 (EST)
- What we'll want to do now is to sub-divide the Directory:Solar page and move the sub-content from there as well as Solar:FEN to each new sub-page. Then I can create a forward from FEN/Solar to PESWiki.../Directory:Solar -- SilverThunder 01:23, 29 Dec 2006 (EST)
- We already have Directory:Concentrated Solar Power, Directory:Thin Film Solar, Directory:Black Silicon, Directory:Solar Tower and Directory:Solar Hydrogen. What else should we have? --John Q. Public 23:43, 2 Jan 2007 (EST)
- Created Template:Solar_footer . --John Q. Public 23:44, 3 Jan 2007 (EST)
- Today I did the Directory:Tidal_Power and Directory:Investment Resources indexes. --John Q. Public 22:12, 2 Feb 2007 (EST)
- I did the Solar page. For now it is called Directory:Solar:FEN. How can we integrate it into the other Solar pages? --John Q. Public 22:46, 28 Dec 2006 (EST)
- Tidal Energy -- A Primer (http://www.freeenergynews.com/Directory/Tidal/TidalEnergyPrimer-06.pdf) - Prepared by Martin Burger of Blue Energy, a tidal energy company. Has given permission to tranfer its contents to the PowerPedia:Tidal_Power page for expansion.
- Done. Reddi 02:17, 30 Dec 2006 (EST)
Collaboration
I've established a cross-linking relationship Stefan Hartman's http://OverUnity.com forum. I have links to his site from the navigation structure of all four of our PES Network sites, including this one. He has a link to PESWiki and FreeEnergyNews from his global navigation structure.
The next area of collaboration is topic-by-topic interlinking.
I would like to see links from our topical pages to the specific discussion pages at OverUnity.com; and likewise a link from the OverUnity.com topic pages to our PESWiki feature pages on the same topics. There is a lot of synergistic coverage that ought to be cross-correlated.
This interlinking will increase the quality of both sites, as each has an attribute that has been lacking from the other. That void can be filled by this active exchange.
So as you create new pages and edit existing pages, please take a quick look at OverUnity.com to see if they have coverage of that topic, to add a link to it.
I've asked Stefan to let me know what the best way would be to establish links from OverUnity.com pages back to PESWiki.
One thing we ought to do is create a cross-linking index page here that follows the same sequence as is found at the home page of OverUnity.com
Thanks. -- SilverThunder 12:02, 25 Nov 2006 (EST)
Needs Attention
- Rramjet went into Directory:Hydrogen_from_Water and added a bunch of "related sites" that are not specific to the topic, but which are general sites. It's good material, but doesn't belong on that page, and I'm not sure it really belongs anywhere that we don't already have covered already. We may just need to undo what he did. I don't have time right now to scrutinize it, but something needs to be done. -- SilverThunder 00:46, 23 Nov 2006 (EST)
- I checked the material and agree that it doesn't belong on that page. I think the better portions are already covered elsewhere, so I changed it back to the previous version. --John Q. Public 23:59, 5 Dec 2006 (EST)
User:Cnc
Is this spam? should this goto classifieds? is a block necessary? Just wondering Reddi 14:08, 5 Sep 2006 (EDT)
Relevant as a tool for inventors / manufacturers. I moved Cnc to Directory:CNC Machines. -- SilverThunder 15:26, 5 Sep 2006 (EDT)
Pages to Build
listed in nominal sequence of priority
- Directory:Capstone MicroTurbine - Low emission power generators used in hybrid electric vehicles, distributed generation and micro-cogeneration. ref: http://www.microturbine.com/ The Capstone™ MicroTurbine uses a small jet engine with no bearings (air bearings) to produce electrical energy. Same web site at: http://www.capstoneturbine.com/ Former executive has now started new company http://www.agileturbine.com/
- I interviewed someone from Capstone several months ago and was very impressed. Meant to do a story about it, but just havn't gotten around to it yet. -- SilverThunder 20:33, 3 Oct 2006 (EDT)
- Directory:Acetone:Template to go along with Directory:Acetone_as_a_Fuel_Additive#POST_YOUR_DATA. We used to have a page there. I don't know what happened to it. It provided headers, headings, footers, etc.
- Directory:GravTran - A Gravity Kinetic Transfer Mass Transit Circuit. For ~2-mile range mass transit using down-hill gravity to propell craft. Ideal for college campuses and other short commute, such as airport shuttle. Has multiple prototypes. Featured on front page of NYTimes. ref. http://fuelfreetransit.com/
- Directory:Sorganol Biofuel ref: http://www.sorganol.com/ Ethanol made from sweet sorghum is alleged to "the best Alternative Fuel Crop In the Continental United States to Grow". Sweet sorghum takes the sunlight and converts it directly into sugars. Eliminating the costly starch to sugars process. These sugars are converted directly into ethanol at nearly ZERO FOSSIL FUEL INPUTS.
- Kinergy Power Corp harnesses waste kinetic energy from any body in motion, through a series of hydraulic pistons and converts it to electricity, at at projected cost of 2cents/kw. ref. http://www.kinergypower.com/
- Directory:Rand Cam http://www.regtech.com/ Amazing new engine technology has 2 moving parts
- Directory:Axial Vector Engine ref http://www.axialvectorengine.com/ - revolutionary internal combustion engine that converts combustion energy into rotational energy without the use of a traditional crankshaft. The engine is lighter, smaller, and has fewer moving parts than a traditional engine. Our engine is able to run on multiple fuels while making more power at lower RPMs than traditional engines.
- Directory:Magnetic Shielding Mechanisms - materials and methods of blocking, shunting, redirecting magnetic fields.
- Brainstorm:Extreme Makeover Energy Edition - patterned after "Extreme Makeover, Home Edition" ABC. Do an energy make-over turning inefficient home into energy envy.
- Directory:BioPower Systems Pty. Ltd. - Biologically Inspired Ocean Power Systems; ref. http://www.biopowersystems.com contact Dr. Timothy Finnigan, info@biopowersystems.com, phone +61 2 9209 4237; DESCRIPTION: BioPower Systems Pty. Ltd. is commercializing award-winning biomimetic ocean energy conversion technologies. We have adopted nature’s designs in the development of our proprietary wave and tidal energy systems. BODY: The technologies inherit benefits developed during 3.8 Billion years of evolutionary optimization in nature’s ocean laboratory. The resulting systems move and sway in tune with the forces of the ocean, and naturally streamline when extreme conditions prevail. This leads to low design thresholds and associated low costs. The inherently simple bioWAVE™ and bioSTREAM™ devices are designed to supply utility-scale grid-connected renewable energy using lightweight modular systems. These systems will reside beneath the ocean surface, out of view, and in harmony with the living creatures that inspired their design.
