BBC Shock and Awe: The Story of Electricity - This BBC documentary does an excellent job of reviewing the fascinating history of electricity and its many key players of the past two centuries. It is astonishing how rapidly the technology unfolded and how radically it changed how we live. So will it be with Free Energy. (PESN; March 31, 2012)

Vision Statement for PES Network, Phase II - "Now, we feel like the industry has matured enough, and several promising technologies are close enough to making it to market that it makes sense to start getting very aggressive about the networking aspect, to help match up technologies with professional services, financing, licensees, and customers." (PureEnergySystems; March 26, 2012)

  • Featured / OS: Electromagnetic > Solid State > Johan's Charger >
Johan's Charger Powers Motor While Charging Battery - Johan has posted a couple of videos. One shows two motors being powered while the Hex controller keeps the battery from depleting as rapidly as without, and then recharging the battery once the load is removed. The other shows one motor running while the battery voltage increases, apparently pulling energy from the surroundings, in addition to the back EMF from the motor. (PESWiki; March 26, 2012)

FYI: Next-Generation EEFG (no link) - I received the following input about the EEFG: "They have the next generation now and it knocks the socks off the first ones with much greater power generation. This will be the power source for the next 100+ years. I'm really excited." (Sterling D. Allan; March 24, 2012)

FYI: MYT Engine Update (No link) - I just spoke with inventor Raphial Morgado. Things seem to be going well for him with a lot of good stuff going on. He's working on an update story for us to publish, addressing some of the things he can talk about publicly. (Sterling D. Allan; March 23, 2012)

E-Cat Weekly -- March 22, 2012 - Highlights this past week included Andrea Rossi, Celani, Focardi, and many other Cold Fusion pioneers being featured in the Italian Network series, Voyager, in a special titled: "Cold Fusion — Secrets of the New Energy". Defkalion 3rd party testing is still going well. (PESN; March 22, 2012)

PlasmERG Meetings (no link; just quick f.y.i.) - I'm in the middle of a move, so I'm not going to the March 22-25 PlasmERG meetings, but I am scheduled to interview John Rohner on March 27, which we'll be posting shortly after that. I also plan on driving down to Henderson, NV maybe a couple of weeks after that. (Sterling D. Allan; March 21, 2012)

  • Cold Fusion >
Kimmel Foundation Supports Cold Fusion - Sidney Kimmel made the largest donation ever given by a non-alumnus to the University of Missouri (MU). The $5.5 million is to be used to create the Sidney Kimmel Institute for Nuclear Renaissance (SKINR), which will study effects related to low-energy nuclear reactions (LENR). Cold Fusion 101 Demo Still Going (no link; just a quick f.y.i.) - I talked with Dr. Mitch Swartz of MIT yesterday, and he said that his demo that he did for the "Cold Fusion 101" class is still running, and has been doing so continuously for two months, at 7-times overunity. -- (Sterling D. There is Free Energy? (Original in Italian) - Today I have finally found time to publish my report of the work of my friend Andrea Rampado [of Biokavitus]. Cavitation would produce the implosion of bubbles of steam, the implosion would produce what is commonly called the phenomenon of sonoluminescence , generating light and heat. Pest Project: Where Every Pest has a Place - Orkin has created an amazing website where they showcase pests and make a case for their natural habitat, to understand that the things that eat our home have a place in the natural cycle of life. I found this clicking on their ad at Pandora, and enjoyed browsing their material. (Orkin)

Tsunami steers Japan tech innovation - On the March 11 anniversary, let's take a look at some innovations spurred by a desire not to be so vulnerable to disaster. They include Nissan's converter to enable an electric car to power up your house for 2 days, transparent solar panels that you can put on your windows, a cell phone app that can detect radiation levels, and other apps for emergencies. • Thermal Electric / Batteries >
Graphene in new ‘battery’ breakthrough? - Researchers at Hong Kong Polytechnic University claim to have invented a new kind of graphene-based "battery" that runs solely on ambient heat. The device is said to capture the thermal energy of ions in a solution and convert it into electricity. Such a device might find use in a range of applications, including powering artificial organs, generating renewable energy and powering electronics. (PhysicsWorld; March 8, 2012)

  • Lighting > LEDs >
LED's efficiency exceeds 100% - For the first time, researchers have demonstrated that an LED can emit more optical power than the electrical power it consumes. Although scientifically intriguing, the results won’t immediately result in ultra-efficient commercial LEDs since the demonstration works only for LEDs with very low input power that produce very small amounts of light. • Electromagnetic / Anti-Gravity > Searl Effect Generator >
Free Energy Reality – The SEG - John Searl is one of the leaders of the new free energy movement. His research has led to the formation of the SEG which will be able to not only power your home, but your car as well, virtually eliminating the need for oil (with the exception for the production of tires for your car and for motor lubricant). The Free Energy Explorer -- Interview with Mark Dansie - While he describes himself as my "nemesis", Mark Dansie actually makes some excellent points about the pursuit of free energy. As one who has booked more frequent flier miles recently than anyone I know pursuing free energy claims, he's one to drive home the point: "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof."
