Tell U.S. Congress: End oil subsidies - As Americans continue to struggle with outrageous, unstable gas prices, oil companies continue to benefit from them, continuing to rake in huge profits. Why does the U.S. Govt. still rewards them with $4 billion/year with tax credits and subsidies. (CredoAction; April, 2011)

  • Conspiracy >
Obama Long Form an Obvious Fraud -- "Sophomoric" - It is obvious to see that one document has been cropped and overlaid on top of a matching background. That's one of at least 22 factual and typesetting deceptions. When the pdf file is pulled into Adobe Illustrator, it doesn't pull up as one item, which would be the case if it was truly just scanned in from an original as claimed; but several editing "layers" show up, superimposed... Minesto Kite to Harness Tidal Energy - The underwater kite by Minesto move 10 times faster than the tidal flow at any given time. Speed and energy have a cubic relationship, whereby a kite moving 10 times the speed of the surrounding water yields 1,000 times the energy of the flow on the kites. Solar Panels Increase Home Value - A study by Berkeley National Labs has found that homes sold in California earned a premium for solar panels. The benefit ranged from $3900 to $6400 per kW of capacity. An earlier study found that proximity to solar or wind power may also raise home values. (Venture Beat; April 22, 2011)

Wave of Free Energy - "I appreciate everything you've done, and continue to do, at great personal risk to yourself. I am genuinely surprised at the progress that's being made for some of these technologies. All of a sudden, we seem to be on a very powerful wave going forward. A lot of the credit for that has to go to you." -- Glenn Hampton (Free Energy News; April 23, 2011)

  • Solar > Thin Film >
Spray-on film turns windows into solar panels - Norweigan solar power company, EnSol, has patented a thin film solar cell technology designed to be sprayed on to surfaces such as windows and exterior walls. Unlike traditional silicon-based solar cells, the film is composed of metal nanoparticles embedded in a transparent composite matrix, and operates on a different principle. (GizMag; April 17, 2011)
  • Grand Unified Theories >
At Particle Lab, a Tantalizing Glimpse Has Physicists Holding Their Breaths - Physicists at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory [announced on April 6] that they have found a suspicious bump in their data -- via their Tevatron, once the world’s most powerful particle accelerator -- that could be evidence of a new elementary particle or even, some say, a new force of nature. The CFL Fraud - Well-sourced article says Compact Fluorescent Bulbs pose a major fire hazard. Toxic mercury in CFLs are downplayed, while breakage creates a dangerous environment. Bulbs are burning out faster than expected; don't fit in some fixtures; often grow dimmer over time; will not operate at low temperatures; emit high percentage of UV; shouldn't be tossed in the trash. Solar power without solar cells: A hidden magnetic effect of light could make it possible - A dramatic and surprising magnetic effect of light discovered by University of Michigan researchers could lead to solar power without traditional semiconductor-based solar cells. At the right intensity, when light is traveling through a material that does not conduct electricity, the light field can generate magnetic effects that are 100 million times stronger than previously expected. Sergio Focardi, the father of “Ni-H Cold-Fusion" - A radio interview with Sergio Focardi, who had been doing pioneering work with nickle-hydrogen fusion, and was later joined by Andrea Rossi, who brought new and key ideas to the table. Forcardi plays the comedian here, so it's not easy to tell if/when he's talking straight. "He looked around and he saw a hole in the ceiling: it had flown upstairs." (22Passi; April 14, 2011)

Bearden: The Real Cause of the Energy Crisis - "In 1891 Nikola Tesla -- who gave us AC electric power, the rotating magnetic field that makes modern motors and generators possible, and radio -- had already discovered how to take all the EM energy one wishes directly from the seething 'active medium' -- i.e., in modern physics terms, from the active vacuum. He was already briefing technical societies that this could be done at will." (Hasslberger Blog; April 1, 2011)

Wysips technology can turn any surface into a PV power plant - A French company recently showed off a prototype phone where the touchscreen display itself housed the solar-soaking cells. Wysips technology allows light to pass through a semi-cylindrical lens onto thin strips of photovoltaic cells below, while also allowing the surface underneath to show through; enabling many to potentially become self-sufficient power producers. China's "Rare Earths" Exports Collapse, World Prices Soar - The value of China's rare earths exports has soared almost nine-fold in the past year. One metric ton has gone from $14,405 in July 2010, to just over $109,000. The rapid increase in price is due to the Chinese government’s successful effort to restrict and reduce the volume of rare earths exports. Also, China might soon start importing some of the rare earths that its economy needs but doesn’t produce in sufficient quantity. (Daily Reckoning; April 7, 2011)

New solar-thermal device harnesses heat and light - Researchers at Wake Forest University have developed a new type of polymer solar-thermal device that combines photovoltaics with a system that captures the Sun's infrared radiation to generate heating. By taking advantage of both heat and light, researchers say the device could deliver up to 40 percent savings on the cost of heating, as well as produce electricity. (GizMag; April 7, 2011)

"Tesla's Secret" - A fool and 47 dollars are soon parted! - An online affiliate program called, "Tesla's Secret" is selling plans for a device they claim can free you from the power grid. Their technology has nothing to do with Tesla's work, and is basically no better than a crystal radio set. It works, but is nothing to get excited about, and is certainly not going to power your home. (PESWiki; April 4, 2011)

No fear of radiation from cold fusion - Today’s nuclear fission reactors are more than a poor choice for a primary energy source because of the growing risk of contamination by radioactive materials. Humans are not ready to take the responsibility for disaster that could last for geological time.... Why go down this path when there exists an alternative ultra-clean nuclear power? Low-energy nuclear reactions LENR.... (Cold Fusion Now; April 3, 2011)
