Electromagnetic (Overunity) in the News, 2009

News relating to Electromagnetic overunity systems which apparently or allegedly put out more electrical charge than when is put in, somehow harness energy from the environment in the process.

(We didn't start collecting Electromagnetic news bullets until Jan. 2010, so there aren't many items prior to that, even though we had a lot of relevant items that we covered in our regular News.)

  • Electromagnetic > Steorn >
Steorn gives explanation of e-Orbo, Dec. 19 (video) - Today in Dublin, Sean McCarthy gave his first live presentation explaining the unique characteristics of their electromagnetic motor technology. Explains/demonstrates current and voltage using oscilloscopes, and the removal of back-EMF. (PESWiki; Dec. 19, 2009)
  • Electromagnetic >
Basic Principles of Over Unity Electro Machines (pdf) - In this work author analyzed several patented electromagnetic machines with over unity behaviour and explained basic principles behind their work. Author found four basic principles for construction over unity electromagnetic machines and one for increasing energy of the river. (; November 23, 2009)

TWM provides demo videos - A demonstration video set by TWM Technology LLC shows two of their motor-generators in operation, though not showing convincing overunity. The company claims that the system can provide enough power from its secondary coil to both keep the battery source replenished and to provide extra energy for practical use. (PESN; Oct. 10, 2009) (Comment)
  • Buyer Beware / Magniwork >
Magniwork Energy internet scam - Internet fraudsters are raking in thousands of dollars a day with a scam selling plans for what alleges to be an electromagnetic free energy machine capable of powering a house. One estimate puts sales of the guide as high as 5,000 copies a month, making the scam worth up to $3m a year. (Off-Grid; Oct. 8, 2009) [We've not yet received a scrap of evidence supporting the claims.]
  • Featured: Antigravity > SEG >
John Searl Story now available to view online - Documentary chronicles John Searl’s life and claims that his magnetic Searl Effect Generator requires no external power source, and levitates when in a superconductive state. Includes a look at today’s effort to reconstruct the machine. A must-see video.
  • George Mitchell's OU Generator in the News - Enville, TN, USA inventor claims to have a generator that produces more energy than it consumes, drawing free electromagnetic energy from the environment somehow. Though he's not yet gotten it in a practical embodiment, he's been getting encouragement to continue his quest to provide a portable, clean energy source. (Jackson Sun; July 18, 2009)
