Rich Hessler Solar was started in 2009 with the desire to teach professionals how to sell solar systems. They use technology to teach the course. Using GoToMeeting, they have been teaching students how sell solar systems to homeowners and business owners via the internet. Thanks to the development of the internet, companies such as Rich Hessler Solar can have business meetings and seminars through the internet. This saves on travel expenses and fuel consumption, so it is the greenest choice of long-distance meetings.
Using the webinar, they teach students how to sell photovoltaic solar systems. Photovoltaic solar systems use silicon cells to generate electricity. Since there are no moving parts required to generate this electricity and the energy sources it the sun, photovoltaic solar panels have a long lifespan (30+ years). Most panels have a warranty of 20-25 years, this alone speaks for their quality and endurance. Electricity flows from the solar panels into an inverter, where it is converted from direct current to alternating current. The electricity is then used in the home.
If the homeowner's solar system produces more electricity than the home uses, the electricity is sent onto the grid. When electricity is sent onto the grid, it causes the meter to run backwards. A new system being deployed in the United States, net metering. Net metering keeps track of how much electricity is taken from the grid and how much electricity is placed back onto the grid. This allows homeowners to collect money based on the amount of electricity placed onto the grid.

Costs
A photovoltaic solar system requires an initial investment by the homeowner. When buying the solar system, the homeowner is essentially purchasing the electricity for the next 30+ years at one time.
The total cost of a solar system is somewhat difficult to determine. The goal of installing solar is to eliminate all electricity that costs more than solar. Since this is dependent only on each family’s energy requirements, the cost of each system will vary.
In addition, local and federal rebates are available on solar system installations. These rebates can reduce the total cost of the solar system and installation by 60%. Since the rebates are completely based on location, all of the numbers can become confusing. In the course, Rich Hessler teaches his students how to determine the total cost of a solar system in the city they are working in. He hopes that this removes a lot of the confusion in selling solar systems.
Advantages
- The webinar is online, saving money on travel costs and carbon emissions.
- Trains professionals in a new career (and field).
- Renewable energy is expected to multiply in the coming years.
- They teach on selling a green, renewable energy product. These products will help us to reduce emissions and clean up the earth.

Strikes me as Predatory

I don't see any reason to feature this. I would feature http://www.cleanpowerfinance.com/ and their CPF tools software before I would feature this Rich Hessler character. Hessler comes across to me as a rip-off targeting those who are inexperienced, out of work, and clueless. This looks like a Citizenre style scam. I am not sure why he even should have a page on the peswiki site.
