Solomon Azar has built a proof of concept demonstration device involving a tesla coil and underwater plasma that allegedly gives off gamma radiation, a sign of nuclear combination. He claims that he has the key to a safe, clean fusion process that could be retrofitted into existing nuclear power plants. The says a prototype is presently available for demonstrations.

How it Works
In the Azar Fusion model, a Tesla coil discharging between two electrodes in water creates a plasma state following dissociation of the water to hydrogen and oxygen. The intense electric field causes an acceleration of the hydrogen ions toward the negative electrode, at a velocity that may reach relativistic speeds. As any accelerating charged body also emits a magnetic field, so too does the moving proton. The field so generated is akin to that of the magnetic field around a current carrying wire: the magnetic vector is strictly angular, whose magnitude decreases as the inverse square of the distance between the test point and the moving proton. If there is another moving proton nearby with the same vector direction as the first moving proton, then this magnetic field will give rise to a force on the second proton that is directed radially inward to the first proton. THE END OF THE ENERGY CRISIS IS IN SIGHT
We shall construct the finest and strongest Tesla coil and apply the discharge plasma between two electrodes inside a pressurized water reactor used in fission power plants . The use of high voltage and frequency under the idealology of the magnetic pinch effect, however, in this special case-in water itself(specifically heavy water). To increase the effiency of the fusion we shall apply an external magnetic field about the plasma discharge itself with toroidal magnetics as used in Tokamaks or similar. we shall remove the fission rod assemblies and replace it with appropriate sized electrodes and begin for the very first time a FUSION process. The high degree of sophistication and control of a modern day fission vessel in conjunction with the power output of a properly matched Tesla coil, will in a very short order amount of time, demonstrate the feasibility of Electromagnetic Fusion in which i propose.

Solomon Azar, presently residing in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA, has been working on this concept since 2002. He completed his first prototype demonstrator on March 30 (Palm Sunday), 2007.
On the eccentric side, Azar professes that he is the Messiah, and he complains that the world has not beat a path to his door, both to hear what he has to say along spiritual lines, as well as to help him bring his technology to the world, solving the world's energy needs.
