Including costs of "mistakes" (e.g. blown IGBT's, hexfets, etc), total cost as of Nov. 1, 2007 is around $4100. Last $$$ update 11-4-2007. Project began in 2004.

Question / Answers

The following comes from an email correspondence with Ron on Oct. 14, 2007.

Please be advised that this is a system analysis as a whole, not just an IN/OUT declaration. There is a huge difference. Most of my explanations and project info is on the General Info link on the website. ECOP > 1 is not overunity; ECOP is not COP. I'm trying to see what happens when energy is redirected back into this machine. I see potential.

My reason the putting it out on the web is that maybe someone with more knowledge than I will send me some expertise. I could use a pocket full of ideas right now (from people who actually understand what I'm trying to do).

Q. When you measure input/output, what kind of wave form are you dealing with?
A. waveform = DC
Q. Have you measured this with an oscilloscope?
A. Only a single's straight-line. I presently don't have a working multi-channel scope.
Q. Is it possible that your meters are not fully tabulating the area under the curve of large spikes?
A. What large spikes? There is a 40K uF filter capacitor bank, and a second battery bank when attached to the OUT side.
Q. Theoretically, where is the excess energy coming from?
A. I don't know. All I know is there are 8 coilsets gathering while one is pulsing.
Q. Are you in good with Carmen Miller, daughter of the late Bill Muller?
A. I have had an email or two from Carmen congratulating me on the project. Also received a phone call from Tim Martin, her associate.
Q. Is the intent of the pending one-battery-test to illustrate self-running with energy left over?
A. There is no self-running yet. Please see the performance page of the website.

ECOP (electrical coefficiency of performance) is not COP (coeffient of power). They are like apples and oranges so don't try to compare them to each other in reference to overunity.

My assessment of "self-running" is more oriented towards the energy factor, not so much the power factor.

  1. The machine has to have power sufficient to operate
  2. The machine has to recreate that same power in and of itself
  3. The machine has to deliver enough energy to push its own created power back through itself
- theoretically requires ECOP > 2 - for an electrically driven machine

My objective is simple: to see if it is possible to get my machine to run by its own bootstrap with as little (or no) external power consumption as possible.

I do not know what Bill Muller's claims were for overunity. After assessing all of the designs and models, and different types of things to build, I decided that the Muller Dynamo looked to be the one to actually best be able to perform "real work." This is why I chose to replicate it.

1. No claim of overunity has ever been made by me concerning this device.

2. The circuit depicted is deliberate as part of an experimentation dealing with ways to compress / amplify energy. (note: the term energy was used, not power)

3. Negative resistance is just one aspect of many relating to the feedback circuit. (See Wikipedia:Negative_resistance)

Perhaps an unconventional approach by engineering standards, but yet seems to yield results which no one has yet satisfactorily explained (to me anyway) using formulae and scientific data. To hand-wave it off as "flawed" seems a bit presumptive at this juncture.
