Gallery of Scopeshots Achieved with the Marcus Wagner Charger


Overview 
On this page a number or representative scopeshots (of various important spots in the circuit) are shown, so that one can get a better image of what's going on in/around the circuit. Also this makes a replication more easy, because one can compare this pictures against his own (so far if he has a oscilloscope).

The Scopeshots shown here displays the CURRENT in various spots of the circuit. Also there is sometimes show a second picture, which shows a "detuning" or "tuning for the WRONG settings", so that one can compare even better between "correct tuning" and "wrong tuning". Only with the correct tuning the circuit will result in "over-unity" (you get more out on the end than you must spent on the front). Basically a "wrong tuning" occurs if the frequency gets to high. So to simulate this I set the frequency to high, too, and took those scopeshots.

NOTE 1 
All scopeshots are in same X/Y-Resolution. They were taken across a 0.12 Ohm resistor.
NOTE 2 
Most important pictures are 1) "Input" 2) "Output" 3) "Capacitor-current" and 4) "primary coil-current"

What the Meters Show

Meters 
  • right-> input-current (200mA) from a 12V Gel-Battery (1.3Ah capacity)
  • left-> capcaitor-current (480mA) from/to the big 22.000uF condenser.
  • bottom-> output-current (340mA) to a 12V Gel-Battey (1.3Ah)
