"The Environmental Hall of Fame, conceived by Allen Rubin and Catherine Corbin, arose from their research for an unpublished book, “Heroes of the Planet Earth.” The proposed book recognizes individuals, companies and organizations that have made the most significant impact on environmental issues. Re-titled “The Environmental Hall of Fame, 2008 Edition,” the book is slated for release in late summer 2008. Those researched for the book were nominated to the inaugural Environmental Hall of Fame." from the Environmental Hall of Fame website.
