Our family just watched a show on Netflix called "30 Days: Season 1, Episode 5: Off the Grid", filmed in July 2005.

It's about two oil hogs from the Bronx, New York, who go and live in an off-grid community in Missouri, called Dancing Rabbit, for 30 days.

Many of them eat vegan to reduce their diet footprint, grow their own food, use mulching toilets, run their gray water into their agriculture, do cob for building, run their cars on veggie oil, and have solar showers – all the things we want to do in our community; but they've been at it for 15 years.

Susan, who is one of the founders of our Safe Haven Villages sustainable intentional community project, said she has referred to the Dancing Rabbit website often to get a head start on documents we're using for our community.

Dancing Rabbit has a brief overview video on their home page.
