Chronology

05 August 2005
Motor self-destructed overnight. Apparently one of the magnets came loose, and before it came to a stop all magnets where knocked off.

04 August 2005
Still have not "tuned" the circuit. Using 680 ohm resister in series with a small lamp. Need to tune the circuit to its "sweet spot".

04 August 2005
Beefed up battery connections with 14 AWG wire. Ran for a few hours, but had to stop due to low battery voltage. Recharged the batteries today and started running again this evening.

03 August 2005
Replication is running...no sign of overunity yet...need to beef up connections to the "charging" battery.

27 July 2005
Finished attaching 4 magnets to the rotor. Mounted rotor and coil on board.

20 July 2005
Got wheel turning with 8 sets of round magnets doubled. Wheel is out of round plus cannot find enough bar magnets, so I am going to change my rotor to an old VCR head with 4 bar magnets.

13 July 2005
Wound my coil with 1000 turns each of 20 and 22 AWG wire. Attached bike odometer to drill in order to count the exact number of turns. Built and soldered the drive circuitry to a piece of circuit board.

Replication Particulars

Using VCR head as base for rotor with 4 magnets.
Using exactly 1000 turns each of 20 and 22 gage magnet wire for solenoid.
Using Radio Shack 1000V rectifier diode instead of 1N4007.
Using small lamp in trigger circuit for tuning.
