Summary
Toyota Yaris 1.4 D-4D (UK Spec) ratio(s) of acetone used 50 millilitre per 45 Litre mileage before 30,000 mileage after 40,000 number of miles tested 10,000 other observations (power, idle, exhaust)
Individual Reports
January 02, 2006
Toyota Yaris 2003 model D-4D - a very hi-tech 1.4 Litre turbo-intercooled engine that would give 65 mpg using stock diesel fuel. Run the car 20,000 miles before trying acetone mix. Difference is around 50-60 extra miles each tank (I get about 660 miles per 45 Litre tank). Very dramatic increase in acceleration all through rev range. Top speed is 10mph beyond manufacturer's quoted figure (GPS verified). Exceptional performance additive that literally pays for itself and then some. Soon to have engine in for regular service when I hope to have emission levels measured, which I will post for interest. Generally engine behaves like a much larger, smoother unit.
