Sterling D. Allan's Clean Energy Picks

"From time to time, people ask me what I consider to be the best technologies. Sometimes the objective of the question is to identify technologies presently available for implementation. Sometimes the question is regarding interest in possible investment. Wanting to be able to answer such questions well was one of the primary motivators in my founding the New Energy Congress (NEC), which reviews a myriad of claims to working clean energy technologies, and ranks them in a listing of the Top 100.

"While my knowledge of the field of renewable energy technologies fairly well developed, thanks in large measure to the New Energy Congress input; still, I do not presume to know everything there is to know about the field. I'm daily discovering new companies and approaches.

"My area of emphasis is on those technologies that fall outside the mainstream awareness, seeking to identify those that are the most promising, and to help them advance eventually into the marketplace. My greatest strength, therefore, will be in pointing to up-and-coming technologies, rather than technologies presently available. There are plenty of people promoting conventional, available technologies.

"The following listing is an adaptation of the Top 100 list by the New Energy Congress and does not carry the weight of a full NEC review. My basis for analysis is the same criteria as is used by the NEC in their review of the various technologies.

"I've subdivided the page into sections that reflect how far along a technology is toward being able to be implemented into practical use. The first section reflects technologies now available. The second section reflects technologies in process of being readied for commercial availability. The next section highlights technologies still in research and development. The final section looks at technologies that have not yet been proven, but which are still in concept stage."

Millennial Motors - The Magnetronic Motor uses a small amount of magnetic force to control a large amount of magnetic force. Motor concept is tested and prototype developed, preparing for production, with public debut scheduled for July 2007. Company is planning to retrofit cars to produce pollution free vehicles. EV Gray Motor - Gray motor was the first market-ready prototype replication of Nikola Tesla's radiant energy phenomenon. Never made it to market for reasons that his nephew described as "paranoia, secrecy, and greed". Numerous attempts to resurrect the technology.

Joe Cell - Apparently harnesses Orgone energy via electrically charged water as the "gate" or medium through which the aetheral energy is drawn. Allegedly able to power a vehicle, with no fuel line connected. Numerous installations claimed.

Milkovic Two-Stage Mechanical Oscillator - Serbian inventor, Veljko Milković, shows how leveraged secondary oscillations evince around twelve times more energy than the input energy supplied to the primary pendulum. Highest scientific rating of "original scientific work" granted the patented technology. (http://www.veljkomilkovic.com)

Max Whisson's Gust Water Trap Apparatus - The Whisson vertical windmill cools the air passing through the whirling blades. As it does so, a proprietary process collects condensate, yielding fresh water from the air.

Directory:Sully_Direct_Current - In process of discovering new ways to do electrolysis, inventor John Timothy Sullivan claims to have derived a new current type: not DC, not AC but SDC -- Sully Direct Current. Critics say it is not new and it is not a third type of current.
  38. Deriving Power from Atmospheric Pressure Differences over Geographically-Spaced Sites - New method of power generation proposes to harness the difference in atmospheric pressure between locations 100 to 200 miles apart, with reliability comparable to coal, nuclear, gas, and hydro, but at a cost substantially lower, and with no pollution.
