Good After noon, I am enlisting the assistance of those on this list in obtaining some information. I am desiring to do a project with my 9 year old son based on an article that I had previously seen on freenergynews.com in the magnet motors list.

I do not recall exactly when I had seen the article, only that it was more than a few months ago.

The basis for the article was a Permanent magnet motor that was actualized by a speaker voice coil and cone. The coil of the energized speaker moved back and forth and therefore moved a rod attached to it, with magnets on it which in turn caused motion of the rotors that also contained magnets. The device was based on the repeated attract/repelling of the stator and rotor magnets. The device did require energy input to run the speaker and the timing of the device coincided with the speed. The device was built using wood and included a video of it running, still pictures, diagrams, some theory and a link to the inventors site.

I want to build it to illustrate some principles of magnetism and movement to my 9 year who was enamored and inspired by the shakable flashlight that has no batteries. Within a week of buying me this gift for christmas he stated his desire to build a car after this principle and save the planet from smog. This project seemed very simple and useful to demonstrate some things to him in regards to these aspirations to invent.

If you can offer any assistance as to where this info, website or story can be found please contact me. If there are additional questions that would make it clearer as to what I am looking for please let me know.

Thank You Donald Mallicoat BSEE

Good Day,

first I want to thank you for all the information and links you make available to the public and then effort you put into bringing forth the truth. Not so long ago ( I don't recal when, but more than a few months) there was a link and a story of a magnet motor design that used a speaker cone to drive the rotation of the magnets. I cannot find this story or link any longer. On his site (linked for your story) he had used an actual speaker and wood to lay it up, but then showed a picture of a design that had been machined. While not exactly perfect it was an interesting design and I wanted to reproduce it with my 9 year old son. He has great aspirations.

Do you have any information that could point me in the right direction in regards to this story. I have looked through some archives and on your site and of course searching for Speaker + magnet +motor brings a billion hits...

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Don
