July 10, 2013

On May 6, 2013, YouTube user jasondaz2009 from the Philippines posted a video that appears to show a self-looped motor-generator system. What seems to be displayed is: an external power source starts the system and then is disconnected, at which point the 1 hp (~746 watt) motor turns the 3 kW generator via a belt, which loop back to power the motor, with energy left over. An outlet from the generator then powers a light bulb that is maybe 100 W.

Though there are plenty of places to hide batteries in the demo, and 100 W isn't that much power the rotating of the motor and generator alone would consume quite a bit of power.

He said he has been working on this for 8 years, but only recently was able to get it to work properly, and that it requires very little maintenance. He also said he has filed for patent protection.

This makes the twenty third such independent "Q-Mo-Gen" system that I have become aware of. I use that term to describe these systems because the "Q" shape symbolizes the idea of "self-looped with energy left over to use". Somehow, these different people and groups have come up with a way of arranging this system so that free energy from the environment is harnessed by the system.

Jason's video description states:

: It has battery to stablize the current upon switching from [the] AC line to loop mode. However, the circuit design will automatically charge the battery while in loop mode. I am developing this by installing boost capacitor instead of battery.

Some of the comments he posted to the video include:

: In dollars $3,460.20 this is well complete and presentable. As of now, it has also an insulated casing just like [a] traditional generator but smaller and the difference is [that] no? fuel required. [It is] a closed loop motor generator. (July 10, 2013)

: After all the right things you made on specific component modifications, you have also to figure and calculate those appliance wattage that can only support the alternator generator motor. For example, [if] you have [a] 25kw gen motor, you must limit your load [to] 20kw, because once you? reached full 25kw load or more it will stop. I just created a table circuit and voltage amp metering in my project for me to see of how much load I'm using now. Just simple. (July 10, 2013)

: Thanks for your suggestions [to use a flywheel], but actually I had a flywheel on my first prototype. However, at this time, I have much better designs. The protitype now is capable of starting by itself?, so it can be used in any remote areas, suchs as islands without electricity grid! (June ~26, 2013)

: I already eliminated the belts? and battery [from] the machine. Now, the latest design is direct-drive, and I am using an ultracapacitor. (June ~26, 2013)

: [It uses a] 1hp, 7amps? motor driver and a 3kw 220v ac dynamo generator. (June ~10, 2013)

: This is a 3kw China generator. I've? just modified the exciter. (June ~10, 2013)

And regarding business elements, Jason said:

: We already patented from motors modifications to circuits design. So with this, [we] can permanently unhook [from the] power? grid and can save as much as 100% or no electricity bills, no fumes, no brownouts, easy to operate, very low in maintenance. (June ~26, 2013)

: We were planning this to make a great business in our country. The machine is now very stable and efficient, and for me this [is] the new type of renewable energy -- a fuelless power generator -- and it comes in many configurations, from 3kw up to? 500kw dyanamos. (June ~26, 2013)

In these following comments, Jason illustrates his willingness to help people replicate what he has done.

: Nice materials you've used. By the way, I'm almost working on this of about 8 years to get and work the system. I [was] stuck in researching how to collect the excess or waste energy, until I found out the solution in the sequence of closed loop mode. (July 10, 2013)

Then, in response to another researcher, Jason wrote:

: Yes, you're right. I figured it out by modifying the exciter voltage input from the rotor of the alternator. You have to create a variable regulated supply on that part to adjust the magnetic flux when/if needed, and use two batteries and capacitor for the current stabilization, and connect that in isolated charge. (July 9, 2013)

Here is the comment by Grayman PH to which Jason was responding:

: I forgot, when I started this before, if you load [it] to much, the generator? stops, and everything stops. I have already branded my work before, and I call it "Electrocycler" which is like cycling the power. [Another] problem with this is overheating of the motor and generator. I have already solved this issue, but still, you need to make sure the motor is at the highest quality, with type "H". The generator I only use [is] Japan made. China made is huge and heavy and does not provide good power.

: -> The answer is YES, it will work, but in limited time -- only maybe a couple of minutes, and then it will shut-off, especially when there's a load connected.

Because once you removed the battery, the system current flow [by] which to stabilize will no longer support the unstable voltage current coming from (collecting waste energy) loop mode sequence. The purpose of the battery (the latest design now) is to to start the device independently, and then [it] automatically relays (with delay) to another circuit to support, and [it also has a] role as [a] standby or reserved volts support when/if needed to continue or [to] prevent the electrical motor from stopping, and the alternator as well. However, the battery has a charging system connected (the calculated amp battery based type charger or suitable charger circuits is important). I've just also added a sensing circuit into that part. I think maybe someone here can define of what I mean.

Where the Energy is Coming From...

On July 12, 2013 8:15 AM, Jason sent me the following answers he provided to Mark Dansie's questions: (slightly edited)

1. Where do you think the energy is coming from?

The energy is coming from the dynamo alternator, the ac 220v main output, and sends it to the stablizer circuit box and the battery is also connected there. Alternating and switching happens on that part.. and the purpose of the battery and capacitor is to support the current, whenever the power from dynamo generator is going in low voltage in loop mode. The system is sensing that voltage -- just like an UPS switching system inverts and then switches "when the power is low it activates some relays from another source".

----> But what if the battery reached its low voltages?

That's the secrets of this device. My battery is not reaching the low level voltage whenever using it and has a huge load on it, because I just design [the] circuit [so] that [it] can detect [the] voltage of the battery and recharge it into float mode. [It is the] same principle with maxwell ultracapacitor, since I'm using agm deep cycle battery, 100ah. I set this to 11.5v in low detection, and then self recharge it again in continuos cycle as in automatic. No low battery [is] encountered. So this machine will continue to run and experience nonstop. But maybe it depends on the electric motors when it will be broken. That's another things to get solved. Use high quality motors with type H quality.

2. What is the longest it has run with a small load without stopping?

When scheduled/periodic maintence is task, every 6 months, applying lubrication on bearings on both motors, or just, may I say: "unlimited producing electricity or nonstop even with or without load"

3. What size Caps are you after I might be able to help out?

When you visit the site of maxwell ultracapacitor in the frontpage and on the right upper corner you will see the picture of it that says: "this is not a battery this is a capacitor"
