A directory of information regarding the Fukushima nuclear reactor fiasco.

The Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant, also known as Fukushima Dai-ichi, is a disabled nuclear power plant located on a 3.5-square-kilometre site in the towns of Okuma and Futaba in the Futaba District of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan.

Mainstream media has been significantly underreporting how serious the problem is, how bad the pollution level is, how detrimental this is to the environment including human life.

There has been a major coverup by the powers that be, in part because of how dependent the world has become on nuclear power plants, and the commentary that this becomes on the succeptibility of these plants to natural disasters. One of the take home lessons is that most nuclear plants should be shut down and replaced with clean, safe energy solutions, many of which we feature here at PESWiki.

For example, Directory:Brillouin Energy Corporation (BEC) LENR process could replace the dangerous nuclear reactors with safe, clean heat to drive the turbines in the existing nuclear plants, converting them from ticking time bombs into safe facilities. -- (Congress:Founder:Sterling D. NASA nuclear physicist says "not". (PESN September 26, 2013)

He said most nuclear engineers could understand it and would agree that it will work. (PESN September 5, 2013)

Problem

: "A 45-foot hole in the side of nuclear reactor #4 at the site of the Fukushima power plant in earthquake-ravaged Japan has exposed overheating nuclear fuel rods to the elements. Radiation particles spewing from the spent uranium rods are making their way across the Pacific. These particles have already been detected on passengers arriving into the United States from Japan." -- Bill Heid (March 19, 2011 Off Grid News http://solutionsfromscience.com)

Free Energy Blog:2013:11:01 - Japan’s last operating nuclear power station was switched off on September 16, 2013. Although the present Government of Japan is decidedly pro-nuclear, at this moment in time it is impossible to predict whether nuclear power will ever be switched back on in Japan. Japan is a very democratic country. (Free Energy Blog November 1, 2013)

http://healthandlight.com/fukushima_radiation_plume.htm - Some great information on how the radiation is described and what is happening to it presently. Also health info on dealing with exposure, and more.

High quality analysis of nuclear breakdown - The Union of Concerned Scientists is providing good information with frequent updates. Analysis of how the meltdown is (or is not) happening, with a clear understanding, and diagrams of how the Mark 1 reactors are built. This is good quality information, and it is not clouded nor does it mention the UCS position on nuclear power.

And as fuel reaches an underground water vein, it will cause contamination and could cause a massive hydrovolcanic explosion. (Fukushima-Diary November 19, 2011)

Directory:Nuclear > Directory:Nuclear > Directory:Nuclear Meltdown > Directory:Nuclear Meltdown > Fukushima Meltdown Might Have Come With Earthquake, Not Tsunami - As the data from the Fukushima reactor is being reviewed, it looks like the meltdown happened much earlier: 'The fuel rods in the No. 1 reactor were completely exposed to the air and rapidly heating five hours after the quake.' Apparently, the earthquake had caused a crack in the containment vessel. Which means, that even without the generators failing, the meltdown might still have happened. (Reuters May 16, 2011)

Mainstream media halts accurate reporting on Japan's worsening nuclear catastrophe disinfo campaign now underway - Almost as if on cue, the mainstream media today halted nearly all accurate reporting of the worsening situation in Japan, writing off the whole thing as a “non issue.” This all happened in a seeming coordinate effort following President Obama’s speech on Wednesday that urged Americans to NOT prepare for anything. The American people, Obama insisted, should simply watch television to “stay informed.” (Natural News March 18, 2011)
