Dennis Lee -- the Enigma
: '"God uses the foolish to confound'
: 'the wise. I'm the fool."' -- Dennis Lee
Exploring the enigma that is Dennis Lee -- perhaps the most controversial figure in the field of free energy, bar none. Some consider him an energy savior, others, a shyster.
The best we can tell, the incidental technologies (e.g. fire resistant paint) being promoted through his dealerships are bona fide technologies (though their origin is not always properly attributed), but the underlying claim to free energy has yet to be satisfactorily proven -- at least to the level of rigor of being ready for marketplace feasibility.
While his free energy technology might be dubious, the sincerity of Lee and his followers is a force to be reckoned with. Is it a religious freak freight train headed for a cliff, or are they headed to the promised land? Lee and his following see Mount Zion in their future (literally).
It would seem that Lee has a martyr complex and enjoys all of the controversy as a sort of indirect vindication of his science There must be something to it if all this bad stuff is coming down to try and stop it. Or is it just a matter of his getting what he asks for, reaping what he sows. He doesn't seem to be learning from his past mistakes, but repeates them over and over, dragging his assocites along with him.
We invite you to spend some time at your leisure (e.g. a lazy Sunday) to listen to some of Lee's presentations, and get to know the man behind the controversy. At a minimum, he tells a fascinating tale of surmounting astonishing odds against him. He declared war on the Utilities and lost his business and landed in prison for two years with multiple calculated attempts on his life there. "And you aint seen nothing yet" he says at the end of that tale that concluded in 1995, saying that the years that followed have been even more . . . astonishing/controversial/exciting/miraculous. Skeptics say he is not telling the whole story and they present evidence that Lee omits in his presentation.
Beside the entertainment value, the burning question is whether this man will end up delivering on his promise of free energy for the planet, and if his business model is viable and can survive the furnace of real life interactions or will he forever be stuck in melodrama with nothing to show for all of the hoopla?

Pre-heating the fuel along a rod turns the fuel into plasma, to burn a wide varieties of fuel efficiently and cleanly. The brain of the technology is a computer that actually teaches the manufacturer's on-board emission system computer to accept the increases in fuel economy. Emission systems intentionally designed to make sure you get absolutely no better fuel economy than the auto manufacture programmed the system to accept. A pre-cursor technology known as the Hydro Assist Fuel Cell, is also computer controlled and available now, will be included in the total PICC package, once released.

While Dennis was in prison for two years, he composed a book to detail the events of his life up to that time (released from prison in 1995) [Amazon.com gives book date as 1994 which could be in error]. The Alternative: A True Story...with Solutions to America's Most Pressing Problems (Lee sells it for $25.00) The book includes documentation of some of the alleged facts of his story. The following audio recordings cover some of the same period, and then going beyond.
http://www.soundwaves2000.com/jgs/ - 23-part recording series by Dennis Lee, recorded in 2004. About 53 hours in all.
http://www.soundwaves2000.com/jgs/clubs/ - Club member section, has audio copies of the most recent conference calls. (password "thisisit", given in the first few minuts of the first publicly accessible audio file).
Part 1 of 23 (2 hours) - Dennis tells story of his "call", his trip to Israel, company stock coming into 50 million in worth, down to 7 million, when Lee declares war on the Utilities in a full-page add in Seattle, which resulted in his eviction from Washington, loss of his company, and landed him in prison (which is covered in detail in Part II). Primary outreach is to pastors, who then reach their flocks.
Part 2 of 23 (~3 hours) - Dennis tells of the circumstances that landed him in prison for two years on a civil code violation, with criminal charges dropped, rebuffed appeals. Multiple hair-rasing attempts on his life, from which he was delivered. How he taught classes and learned from fellow inmates while incarcerated. Rebuilding the business upon his release. Also talks about his days on the speaking circuit with the "patriot movement" prepareness expos in the early 1990's, giving thousands of lectures around the country.
Part 3 of 23 (2 hours) - Dennis Lee tells of buying the Tesla Society, making a presentation in 1996 to both houses of U.S. Congress, as well as presenting videos to Reagan, Clinton, Al Gore calling for deregulation of the power grid, or he would do it himself through distributing his 'One Megawatt Circuit'. Recounts his deal with Yull Brown, buying 1000 Brown's Gas units made by the Chinese, "which were not engineered very well", and their plan to neutralize all radioactive waste, proposing up-front contract for $50 million with each U.S. state. Listen for statement, "we never neutralized any radioactive waste." Notes emergence of skeptic Eric Kreig.

Dennis Lee does have loads of Charisma and knows how to get crowds to show up and listen to his story and how to raise funds (though the methods may be far from orthodox).
Dennis Lee and his operation do have many of the earmarks of a cult and/or scam but that does not necessarily mean they are one.
The level of opposition Lee has encountered can be viewed as evidence that his "enemy" -- the powers that be who are controlling the oil on the planet -- see him as a threat. Alternatively, his grueling experiences could just be a matter of his having challenged them openly, and not because of any inherent merit of his technology.
Dennis Lee does seem to have many miracles of protection and guidance in his life's experiences. Though such miracles can be found in many people's lives, the degree to which they have been manifest in Lee's life is noteworthy.
The appeal to religion and faith tends to cause people to put their brain in a jar and not look objectively/scientific claims. Just as in religion, a walk of faith can end in a sure knowledge from first-hand witnessing, it could be that Lee and his following, though walking by faith now, without a manifested technology, could yet see such a thing materialize.
If Lee and his dealers can mature in their real-life business acumen through the dissemination of their interim products, they may be an ideal force for disseminating a working new energy device, even if their particular design never materializes to a level robust enough for the marketplace, and Lee's company ends up going with a different technology introduced to them.
There is a major vulnerability in this scenario, and that is that its successful culmination depends on one man staying on the straight and narrow -- Dennis Lee. If he veers, he takes the entire group with him. Such dependence on another man is folly. Some are not strong enough to stand on their own, and need a leader to follow. For such a person, Lee may be for them. But independent knowledge and responsibility is a superior path. At

One thing about Dennis Lee we are all kind of ignoring. This is the huge high minded efforts by the big boys to discredit him
Regardless of the merits of the case, and I have read very much in the pro's and cons of Dennis Lee. His one project for today is something we all hope for and a product that will revolutionize the energy world (if it works). The attacks against Lee seem to be controlled by powers bigger and stronger than just local press. We know how suppression has kept us enslaved to the powers to be. If Lee is correct (if paranoid) maybe we should just sit back and watch. It's only a month (July 7 I believe) that is supposed to once again have nationwide meetings to show and sign people up. (I won't hold my breath) But don't destroy him until it is ascertained that he is a crook. His legal troubles of the past seem to be fairly explainable.
Dennis Lee, His Critics and the - Wade Frazier was an associate through 1989 and has watched from a distance since then. He calls for integrity by those seeking to tear down Dennis Lee, urging them to go to source materials and not slander pieces.
Wade Frazier worked intimately with Dennis Lee prior to the time that Lee was imprisoned, and agrees with some of the criticisms of Lee's approach, but is a stauch supporter of the sincerity of Lee's attempt to bring forth free energy. He has interacted with Eric Kreig since the time Eric began accusing Lee of being a fraud. Frazier provides evidence that Kreig's coverage knowingly omits key pieces of information that contradict his paradigm.
Below is a synopsis by Wade Frazier regarding his experience with Lee and with Krieg.
: "I contacted Sterling Allan after he initiated what may become the first critical and balanced discussion of Dennis Lee’s efforts I have ever seen, either on the Internet or anywhere else. Allan asked me to make a succinct post.
: "I wrote an essay to support this post that compresses a very long tale into five pages. In it, I describe my early experiences with energy innovation and my path that led me to becoming a CPA and meeting Dennis Lee in Seattle. I then describe my journey with him in Boston, Ventura and the aftermath. It was a wild ride that radicalized me. I then spent 12,000 hours of unpaid effort in creating my web site.
: "I call Eric Krieg “Mr. Skeptic" in my work, and I describe how he dishonestly portrayed Dennis’ past in a Skeptical Inquirer article, to make it appear that Dennis had criminal intent. To provide more support to my contention, I wrote a rather detailed account of the context of Mr. Skeptic’s libel, to show how it was carefully and consciously done, and was not an act of hastiness, sloppiness or carelessness. He used “facts" to present his case that Dennis had criminal intent, “facts" that he knew were false. About that, I have no doubt. -- Wade Frazier (March 11, 2006)
On March 14, 2006, Wade Frazier wrote the following:
The point of my work has never been about defending Dennis or what he is doing these days (which I do not know that much about, as I do not follow it much, and have not had a long conversation with him in several years), but has been about the lessons that we can all learn from his journey. Few, if any, other free energy activists have played at a level where:
1. Members of their organization had a meeting with Al Gore at the White House to discuss neutralizing nuclear waste
2. They put five thousand people into a stadium to talk about free energy
3. They sold energy saving equipment like hotcakes (as in $10 million in sales in a few months, and $3 million in one evening during another effort), to the point where the energy interests (mainly local that time) called in all their favors to wipe out their company
4. They had an audience with somebody claiming to be one of the top-ten most powerful persons in the world (and it was arguably true)
5. They had meetings with people who showed them stuff so mind-blowing that I cannot publicly describe it
6. They have been offered a billion dollars to go away, then jailed with a million dollar bail after refusing it
7. They have survived numerous murder attempts during their journey
8. They spent years behind bars, with the people incarcerating them being paid handsomely to make their lives miserable
9. They played at a level where a U.S. Senator stood in their living room and advised them on how to survive the attacks they were receiving
10. They have been at it for more than thirty years, having to rebuild their efforts from scratch about a dozen times, as they were continually wiped out
11. They have been on the brink of getting a billion dollars to carpet America with their energy-saving equipment.
I bent over backwards in 1996-1997 to give Krieg the benefit of the doubt, and his Skeptical Inquirer article showed me beyond any shadow of a doubt his true colors, which he has demonstrated even more clearly since then. Even though it is a minor part of my site, I still devote a hundred pages or so to Dennis and my adventures with him, and there is plenty to chew on for anybody who wants to plumb the depths of the “enigma" of Dennis Lee.
Eric Krieg's expose site - Krieg has been tracking Lee and his followers for years, and has volumes of witnesses against Lee from disgruntled customers and dealers.
: I've listened to his material as well and read his books - they don't generally mention a lot of critical things.
: He'll say stuff like, "I was put in jail with out being convicted" and not mention it's because he plead guilty to multiple felony counts. He'll not likely mention having been arrested for passing bad checks in the 70's - how a number of people never had work done with his home repairs business in the early 80's - how many people lost at least 5 figure sums in a buying card business that went no where in the late 70's. He won't mention how patriots like Tom Valentine and Bo Gritz consider Dennis a crook after seeing him try to highjack the patriot movement for mlm scams. Dennis does claim he got inducted into the inventor's hall of fame. His tapes won't mention testimony from a number of former works who say his operation was a total scam. He doesn't mention how the many dealers who try to sell dealerships are not helped as promised and new people even in the last few years who try to buy used dealerships are sold ones . . . . owned by Dennis that Dennis doesn't mention when he says he has 2000 dealers. Many people paid 100,000 for dealerships - which a year ago, dennis was selling new ones for $2000. Dealers have been told if they don't give money for new programs, they can have their dealerships taken away. I have a number of stories I compiled for my court case of people ripped off by Dennis.
: You don't need conspiracy theory to explain why at least a dozen separate state AG's have finally taken action against Dennis. Dennis's own newsletters over the last few years admit that very little of the real product is actually sold. This product was promised to be exclusive for the dealers - now all kinds of new categories of associates can sell the same stuff of Dennis's, leaving the dealers with no real value even if the stuff sold wasn't over priced.
: The browns gas machines were dangerous and very unreliable - I know of no one who made money with them. Dennis took a lot of money in the last few years from people learning to modify cars to get 100 mpg - I can't find anyone who has done that. I could go on and on.
: Only listen to Dennis if you also get the full story elsewhere - this guy has been taking money on the free electricity promise for over 20 years now.
: To me, Dennis and his years of delay tactics are no different from Tilley. Both have scads of former associates who have come out against them. Both routinely miss promised release dates. Both are creative in new ways to give them money. Both hide behind conspiracy theory. Both have a history of predating scams. Both have lawyers to help keep them from being held accountable. Both get people to get friends to lose money (which is much worse than just taking money from people). Both have rented out huge venues for tests are are inconclusive. Both eternally promise something big right around the corner. Both offer short demo's that are easily discounted by the experts not allowed to do hands on testing. Both expect to be all powerful unquestioned leaders of their organizations and neither are willing to address critics. Neither can focus on a single important claim but keep redirecting attention away from previous failures that are just forgotten.
: This is all a formula. A number of people use it.
I think Jeff Otto refused to email me (and threatened to shut me down for spamming) because I raise points about Dennis he doesn't want to think about. Rather than just chanting I am a liar, he should just prove the high mileage claim to one of our many members all around the nation. They say they have about 50 cars that get mileage that would be undeniable. Were that claim true, why not discredit me and get rich and save the world by PROVING it.
I think they did drop the NUAF, they don't really promote it any more - but that is an opinion call that doesn't matter. It is a public record that Dennis promoted Pantone's GEET stuff. A big court case followed their split up. I believe Dennis clearly said he would install the free electricity machines many times - I first taped him saying it would be in 1996 went I went to a seminar that year. Another semantic debate on Dennis's part.
I have been unable to get Dennis to back up his claim I lie in our court case. He just hammers away at me over tertiary legal questions. The lawsuit is truly a case of him using his legal goon squad to try to silence my information concerning free energy.
The bottom line should not be distractions about what constitutes a promise - but on their here and now claim to have many cars getting incredible mileage. I think it is a lie - if they really have it, there would be no rational reason to keep holding it back. I think it would be good to ask Jeff Otto his mileage - he is probably a top 5 Dennis loyalist, it anyone should have a working kit, Jeff should. Try asking him, I would , but he would call that spam
