Bill Mahess is an inventor who has come up with two phenomena of particular interest. One is an antigravity effect. The other is a clock pendulum set-up that appears to be self-powering while also producing excess energy.

Mehess Motor

Bill calls it a "magnet motor" but it is not a true magnet motor inasmuch as it in involves electrical input, so it should more properly called an electromagnetic motor.

Electronic Generator - Magnets generating electricity by swinging them via a clock motor pendulum and storing the electricity generated in a capacitor bank. (YouTube January 14, 2008)

(From Bill Mehess, Jan. 14, 2008)

Not location specific can operate anywhere (stationary)

Will operate with no external input for 30 days

Stores generated electricity via capacitors with less than 5% leakage rate.

Not expensive to build or replicate

Open source project

Will operate continuously for 2,500,000 seconds. The "rewind" of the clock pendulum mechanism takes only 12 seconds, which comprises 0.000005% of its total run cycle.

Using a Clock Pendulum to Generate Electricity - Bill Mehess has invented a system in which a clock pendulum mechanism swings magnets into coils, allegedly generating enough electricity to recharge the clock spring as well as power other devices. (PESN Mar. 24, 2007)

Re: 12 times more output than input, dual mechanical oscillation system ! - i think bill mehess, is scheduled to release all his info and demo video on christmas morning. can you post some pictures or video of the results you have ... (December 14, 2006)

Bill Mehess Interview: The Mehess Magnet-Motor Experiment - We're joined by Bill Mehess, an independent inventor specializing in a self-described "nuts & bolts" approach to developing new technology. Our discussion involves his latest device - a modified clock-pendulum arrangement that's been running for over 150 hours, and might just start a public competition for the longest experiment ever... Open Source Discussion List - Bill Mehess has invented a system in which a clock pendulum mechanism swings magnets into coils, allegedly generating enough electricity to recharge the clock spring as well as power other devices. The purpose of this group is to facilitate multiple replications of Bill Mehess' device, and then to improve and optimize the design.

Bill Mehess Gravity-Shield - Sometimes the simplest experiments are the best: for Bill Mehess, the idea came from noticing that a magnet placed perpendicular over a flat-magnetic field seemed to lose weight. Several hours later, he'd perfected a unique design that appears to negate gravity. Mehess claims a true 450-grams of weight reduction, and has video to back it up... (American Antigravity 10/26/2005)

The Mehess Effect - Experimentalist Bill Mehess shook up the newsgroups in October with the announcement of a magnetic-levitation experiment producing several hundred grams of weight-loss using a unique magnetic device. After a bumpy start, he’s back with a new device that seems to defy conventional explanation, as well as gravity... (American Antigravity 12/3/2005)

CORRECTION:Inventor Bill Mehess Does Sell Hand-Made Violins - Bill Mehess explains that he used a standard Stradivarius design, and that is why his violins resemble others around. His 400 ft2 shop in his home, where he used to make the instruments, is available for inspection. He offers a money-back guarantee on the "materials cost only" instruments he has sold.
